~two years after escape~age 16~
You where just sitting on the couch on your iPod listening to some music while reading 'Confession of a Murder Suspect' (which is a good real book by the way). It's a normal Saturday with almost nothing to do, well you can tell yourself what has been going on for the past couple of years. Well now your legally Charlotte's daughter saying that you where a homeless teenage girl that was left on the street and has no legal documents what's so ever, so your name is now (y/n) Halana which you still think it's a weird name but you got over it. You are in high school, have a job as a cashier in a McDonald's. So yeah you kind of have a normal life kind of, you still have to hide your ears, tail, wings, claws, and feline eyes just to blend in is a hassle but it's worth it.
Once you where done with a chapter, Tomas decide to bother you to convince you to play halo or something with him on the Xbox. Now who is Tomas? Well he is Charlotte's 9 year old son, he's a real sweetheart when he wants to be but, he is just one of those people that likes pushing buttons to gets what he wants. You sighed and looked at your iPod to see what time it is and your shift doesn't start in another two hours so you thought what the heck, video games never hurt no one. So you played with him, after a little while you check what time it was and you had less than an hour till work and told him you need to get ready for work.

You walked in the door and it was dark outside and the lights where off so you thought that everyone was in bed by now, despite you seeing in the dark it was kind of hard since you have to wear contact lenses to hide your cat eyes, you turn on the front entrance lights but once you did someone slammed you against the wall than slam you onto the floor. Before you can register what's going on you looked up and saw Charlotte, her husband, and Thomas sitting on chairs, wrapped up in rope with gags in there mouth and around them where mercenaries with guns. There where around eight to eleven mercenaries that you could see in the room but just how many in the house, I know this house isn't big but there can still be more of them. You looked at the people that you call your family, trying to get an answer of what's going on here and see Charlotte glaring at her husband and see him shaking and muffling words that you can barely understand and see Thomas crying out of pure fear.
Then all of a sudden you felt some sort of needle jab in your neck and quickly pull out, first you thought was tranquilizer but you where still awake, then when the person who slammed you got off you couldn't move but your eyes, so you realize it's some sort of paralysis serums that they struck in you.
One of the mercenaries walked up to you. He was a big guy that looked like he had worked out all his life, with ginger hair that was in a short fo hawk, and four scars just under his right eye. You remember this man very well because your the one who gave him that scar for getting you vary pissed off almost four years ago when you where only twelve, is name is Rick, I know right a pretty lame name for a tough mercenary. He knelt right in front of you and said "long time no see lil' freak, you thought you can hide forever, huh? Well you where God dam wrong bitch." He grab a big chunk of your hair near the scalp and lift it up and slam it back to the floor. You try wincing in pain but couldn't because of how stiff you where. "You should've learned a long time ago that we mercenaries will do pretty much anything to get paid, even if it means killing people who get in the way." He said with a crazed smile on his lips.
You thought a little bit on what he was saying then realized what he's going to do. He was going to kill your family. You try moving but you couldn't even budge then he said "What about we start with the one who gave you away" he stood up and walk towards Charlotte's husband and took off his gag and Charlotte's husband was crying and said "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I just wanted my life before that little monster came to our lives, I'm sorry, I'm sorry." I couldn't believe my ears, Charlotte's husband, the one you saw as a father, hated you. Rick pulled out a pistol and cocked it and point it right between his eyebrows and pulled the trigger. All I did was stair at now the corpse of the man I one saw as a father, bother Charlotte and Thomas looked away from the now decease male the moment he open his mouth. " well that was fun. Now let's get to the one who began this mess." Rick said.
Charlotte looked terrified and try to squirm away from Rick. When he went up to her you try to move to save but the closes thing to moving was you shaking. Rick pulled off her gag and Charlotte cried "(y/n), Thomas, I just wanted you to know that what ever happens, what ever you do, I love you with all my heart." She said accepting her fate "aww what a touchy moment, I could of swore I almost cry" Rick said sarcastically and pretend to wipe his eye "but the pity party is over" then he pointed the gun at her forehead and about to pull the trigger

By some miracle Thomas broke free from his tied up prison and slam into Rick knocking him down from him unexpectedly coming from almost nowhere. But Rick quickly got up and shot him in the lower torso area and Thomas screamed in pain "wow kid, yeah really think you can be a hero that easily. Well your dead wrong" Rick turns around and shot Charlotte right where he was going to shoot him before Thomas jumped in, then you started to shake like you where having a serious seizure. "So kid got any last words" Rick said when he took off his gag. One of the mercenaries step in and said "but,chief he's just a kid" you looked at the mercenary who was talking to Rick, you know him, he was a mercenary in training when you left. You believed his name was Michel, he's a vary lean guy with black hair and silver-blue like eyes. He is actually quite timid and you used to try to jump on him just to hear his girly screams, it was hilarious and possibly the only mercenary you liked. "What did you say Michel?" Rick said in a stern voice and staring at Michel right in the eyes " sir I said he is just a kid, so let him go" "are you telling me what to do private"
While the two mercenaries where fighting, Thomas crawled up to me and said "(y/n) I want you to know that your the best sis a bro could have, even though your not my real sis." You tried to get words out of my mouth and did and said " but, I-I'm your only s-sis you dork" You said while giving him a goofy wink. "OK ENOUGH OF THIS SHIT!" Rick said as he shot Michel in the knee and pointed the gun at Thomas about to shoot, that when all of a sudden you can move again and grab Tomas to move him away from the gun fire, after a couple of shots, Rick ran out of bullets so he quickly try to reload. While he was reloading You put Thomas down, You extended your claws about a half an inch and sprint towards Rick, then slice his throat.
As you turn to the other mercenaries you took off your contacts in a swift motion to show you (e/c) dilated eyes, let your hair down so your cat ears show, but last but not least you let your wings rip trough your shirt and said to the "if you guys don't want to fucking die then I suggest you leave this house right now" after a few seconds of silence, the mercenaries started running like a bunch of mice and running out of the front door and hopping out of the window. Once they where all gone, you walked over to Thomas and held him in your arms and he said "(y/n), you look so pretty" and you simply told him "just stay awake for me little bud, ok" "ok"
You pulled out your phone and called 911 the operator answered "911, what's your emergency?" You answered and said "my parents and my brother got shot, both of my parents are dead and my brother is barely hanging on to life. The murder is laying on the floor dead an--" "mam' calm down will send the ambulance, just give us your address" you gave the operator your address and hung up and told your brother "Thomas, there are people coming to help you ok, just stay here and stay awake ok" "where are you going sis?" "Some place far away where you won't get hurt anymore" you said ask you ran out and flew, you flew to one place your positive that people won't be hurt by you ever again Mt.Ebott
