How to Say Goodbye

   You woke up from your sleep with one again an unfamiliar dark, surrounding, but you remember you where in Toriel's house in the room she gave you. You looked around and say a pie in the middle of the room. You got up from the bed and walked over the pie, you took a whiff of the pie to tell what type it was from your acute sense of smell it was cinnamon and butterscotch pie, it smelled delicious but oddly you weren't hungry enough to eat the pie so you saved it for later. You walked towards the door of the room so you could ask Toriel something. You know she wouldn't be happy about it but if you maybe explain it to her she may understand. Once you left the room and head to the living room and found Toriel on a large leather chair by the fire and reading some old worn out book. Toriel looked up and noticed you and said " oh, your awake my child, would you like to know interesting ways to use snails?" "Um s-sure" you said with a try to be nice smile, you know you are asking your self why you cant just tell her, because you where afraid of hurting her feelings, you have morals. "Don't you think that's interesting child?" "Hm? Oh yes I didn't know you can use snails that way" you said pretending that you paying attention to her, she didn't by it. "What's wrong my child?" You sighed and said "Toriel, I really don't want to sound ungrateful, I really am but, how do I get back to the surface?"
  Toriel looked at you and gave you a somewhat disappointed and sad look 'great job (y/n), you dumb-goofed.' You thought to yourself guiltily. Toriel stood up and said "I need to take care of something." She walked towards the entryway and went down stairs. You stood there for a few seconds, feeling guilty of what you said. She gave you nothing but hospitality and you pretty much shove her off like that, you felt very guilty. You decided to follow her down the stairs quickly. Once you where down the small flight of steps led to a corridor, you saw her standing there and you hear under her breath said " you wish to go back to the surface do you not, up ahead of us lies the end of the ruins, the only exit that leads to the rest of  the underground, I'm going to destroy it, so no one will able to leave ever again, now please go upstairs." She walked  deeper into the corridor "Toriel wait let me explain, you didn't think she heard you so you follow her.
~small time skip~
   You followed Toriel to the end of the corridor, she would stop every once in awhile and said that other children that where younger than you came through and died once they stepped out of the ruins and she didn't want you to stop her. At the end there was a large door that has the same symbol on the door that matches on her robe. "Toriel, I know you are trying to protect me but I have to go back to the surface." "You are no different from the others, are you? If you want to leave the ruins, then prove to me that you can survive." As soon she said that, flame orbs surround the room and you heart levitate outside your chest. "Toriel, I don't want to fight you" Toriel was silence and she done a horizontal chop motion with one of her arms and flame orbs line up and rushed towards you. You quickly moved away from the orbs and try to avoid contact with one of them.
~another time skip~
   You have fought with Toriel for quite some time now and you have been beaten around so much that you look like you just came out of a building that was on fire while Toriel doesn't even have a scratch on her because you refuse to harm a kind soul like her.
  She made the same chopping motion with her arm again and the flames where hurling towards you again. You couldn't move anymore, you where tired and in pain, you couldn't fight because you didn't want to harm some one like Toriel who was kind to you, you didn't want to kill people like her, but you couldn't quite give up yet for Thomas. When the orbs where close, they where flying past you. You didn't quite understand right away and look at Toriel and see sympathy in her eyes and ask "why do you want to leave so badly, don't you know you can be happy here and safe" you looked at her weakly with a sweet smile and said "I know I can be happy and safe, but I have a brother up at the surface that I have left and didn't realize my mistake, I have to be there for him and I was blind and selfish to see that he needed me, so I have to go back to let him know that I'm sorry and I have his back." "Then why did you fall from the surface" she said "because like I said, I was blind and selfish"
   She looked down with sympathy and sadness over her face but had a small smile still and said "I couldn't even save one child, even if I try so hard to, but I'm sorry for trying to keep you here, you have a important matter that you need to deal with. I'll tell you the only way to get back to the surface and just so you know it won't be a easy task, in the barrier that is between the surface and the underground is in the castle. So please be good child, for me" the flaming orbs disappear and your heart retreat back to you chest. Toriel walked up to you and knelt down and hugged you, you where quite surprised by this sudden action but you hugged back. Once Toriel release you from the hug, she walked past you and looked back at you. You turn around and bowed you head and upper torso and said "thank you for you hospitality Toriel." She slightly gave a slight confused look on her face but smiled at your gesture and gave a small bow back and continue walking back to the ruins.
   You turned back around facing the large doors and walked towards them. One you where in front of the door, you pushed one of them and walked out.
  The door lead to a dark room with a light beaming down in the middle of the room and see a familiar flower, Flowy.
   "You think your so clever for letting her keeping her life, you know you won't keep things up like that forever, eventually you will cross paths with a murder that will show no mercy because in this world it's k-" "yeah I know this world it 'kill or be killed' deal, but put a sock in it geez your so predictable." Flowy gave you a bit of a shock expression. You walked past the baffled flower and went strait out of the room.
