Nico's Return

Camp Jupiter

I stop where I am and freeze, staring at the child.
"Uh, Nico?" Thalia asks.
"Mm" I answer after a while.
The child looks like Bianca. Could it actually be?
"Is... Is this really her?" I ask.
"Yes." Reyna answers.
"How?"
"Did you really think no one would look for you? I knew you were in Italy. Hades sent me to find you, and after I did, he gave me a child. Bianca. He thought it would maybe bring you home, but I never told you. I knew you would come back when you were ready. I see I was right because 3 years later, here you are."
"Reyna... I...." I start.
"Yeah, yeah. It's no big deal." She says.
I stand and turn toward her. After a couple minutes of eye battles, I hug her. "Thank you" I whisper in her ear.
We break apart, and I hear Thalia saying we should sit down while she brings Bianca back to bed, then she'll join us. Reyna and I make our way over to the couch, and we sit.
"Want anything to drink? Reyna offers.
"The strongest you got" I say.
"So, water" she responds.
I grin, knowing that she probably made the right decision.
She walks over with glasses in hand and sits next to me. Moments later Thalia come out, and sits next to Reyna.
There is silence until Thalia suddenly asks "What in the hell happened to you?"
I chuckle,"a lot happened. I'll try to condense it, no interruptions and save all questions until the end"
"Yes teacher." Thalia responds. I grin at her and begin (a/n I'm actually going to write what happened because I like when authors do that but if you don't want to read it just skip to the end) "so this little tale begins six years ago when I was trying to convince Will to come with me to Italy. He said he couldn't and so I decided I'll just go alone. I was only going for two weeks, but he started flipping out and telling me to not come back. So I'm just like whatever fuck you I'm going. Then, two weeks later I come back and will is fucking making out with some assface on my bed. It's my turn to flip do I'm screaming at him and I tell him to just leave and I go back to Italy. I'm there for 5 years when I meet Addy and form then on it was me and her. Then when we come back today me and Addy are just trying to unpack and everyone starts coming to my cabin and trying to talk to me. Addy goes with Percy and Annabeth who is like super pregnant right now, and all these other people come to talk, when finally Will comes over. He wants to get back together. I, obviously, tell him to get the fuck out and so now I'm here." I finish, then take a breath.
Reyna and Thalia are stunned. "Wait, is Addy your girlfriend? Because Nico I was pretty sure that you were gay." Reyna asks. I burst out laughing, "Ew, no. Addy is 2. She is my.. Uh... My... Small companion?" I say.
"Nah, Nico, she is your daughter. Admit it." Thalia says.
"Yeah, I guess she is."
"When can we meet her!" Reyna asks, very excitedly.
"Now? I guess." It's like 10 a.m. There so I can go pick her up. I'll be back in 5 minutes.
~TIME LAPSE~
I appear with Addy and Reyna squeals. Yes, Reyna.
She gets down on her knees in front of Addy, and talks to her in her 'mommy tone', "Who are you?" Reyna asks.
"I'm Addy"
"Well Addy, I love your dress."
"Thank you, Nico got if for me"
"I am very good friends with Nico. My name is Reyna, and this is Thalia, my girlfriend."
"Nico used to have a boyfriend."
"I know."
I laugh at the sight, Reyna having a conversation with a 2 year old is pretty rare, though not anymore I guess, with her own daughter asleep in the next room."
"Do you want to meet another little girl?" Thalia asks Addy.
"YES!" Addy screams.
"Follow me!" Thalia says, leading Addy away, "I can watch her for a while, Nico." She says over her shoulder.
I laugh, and turn to Reyna who is now standing.
"I'm going to get some coffee." I say.
"Good idea." Reyna responds, "just black for me."
"Okay" I say while heading out the door.
It's only 7 a.m. Here and already so busy. I walk over to the coffee shop and get three black coffees. As I'm walking out I hear a familiar voice, but it's too far away so I can't place it. I keep, and then I see her. I drop the coffees and stare at her. Hazel. She doesn't notice me, at first, but when she does, she drops whatever she's holding and stared right back. She breaks out into a sprint and runs up to me and jumps up to hug me. I hug her right back, holding her up. We stay like this for a while, but then she pulls back.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" She screams at me, then slaps me.
"I didn't take you as a person who used profanity" I say.
"And I didn't take you as a person that leAVES THEIR SISTER FOR SIX YEARS WITHOUT SAYING ANYTHING!" She screams at me.
"I'm sorry." I say.
She purses her lips and crosses her arms, staring at me. I stare at her, but then I start to laugh, and she does too. We break down laughing for a while, but then she just me again, "I missed you so much, Nico." She whispers.
"Me too, Hazel."
At this point, I hear a certain two year old screaming "NICO, NICO I WANT TO ALWAYS STAY HERE."
I pull away from Hazel, and lean down so I can catch the incoming little person and put her on my shoulders. "Miss Thalia gave me a cookie for breakfast!" She screams giddily.
"Uh... Nico?" Hazel asks.
"Mm? Oh, yeah. Hazel this is Addy, Addy this is Hazel" I say, bringing Addy down from my shoulders.
"You have a lot to tell me."
"Yeah. Six years ago..."
~Time Lapse~
"And that brings us to right now." I finish.
"Wow."
"Yeah."
"So when are we leaving?" Hazel asks.
"What?" I question.
"For Camp Half-Blood." She says.
"Oh, I-"
She cuts me off, "20 minutes? Frank and I can pack in 10, I assume Reyna is coming too which means we will need to tell the back up praetors."
"Hazel. I can't shadow travel all these people."
"I know, that's why I'm helping. Now get moving!"
20 minutes later, Reyna, Thalia, Bianca, Addy, Frank, Hazel and I are all ready to go. It's surprisingly easy to make the jump form here to CHB. When we get there, Addy and Bianca immediately go off running.
"You can all stay in the Hades cabin or one of the Guest cabins." I say.
"Hades." They all say.
"Fine, with me, and we all head to to the Hades cabin.
After 30 minutes of unpacking, there is a knock at the door.
"Come in." I scream. Addy and Bianca run in, followed by Will. I stop and stare at him. Too afraid and hurt to say anything, the rage I felt earlier gone. Hazel walks up to him and slaps him. Then Thalia knees him in the groin. While he is bending over in pain, Reyna basically drop kicks him out the door. I'm stunned. I sit down on the floor, and curl up my knees and hide my head. Addy comes up to me and hugs me. "It's okay, Daddy."
