I woke up around 9 to a vibrate from my phone. I leaned over and saw that I had a text from Walker.

Hey, do you want to come over around noon for lunch?

Sure, I will have to ask though, I replied to him quickly.

Today was a Wednesday, which meant my mom was at work. I unplugged my phone and dialed my mom's number.

"Hey, sweetie." She said as she answered the phone.

"Hey, mom," I started, "Walker asked if I could come over for lunch is that ok with you?"

"Sure have fun! Well, I have to go, one of my students is trying to stuff a Lego up his nose. Love you!"

"Love you too," I said hanging up my phone.

I texted Walker again and I told him I could come over.

Ok, cool:) he responded back.

Yep, see you then. I texted him.

See ya!

Around 10:45, I took a quick shower and quickly got ready. I brushed my teeth with my lime green toothbrush and mint tooth paste and I brushed through my tangly hair. After that, I picked out my outfit for the day. I grabbed my favorite pair of worn jean shorts and a hot pink tank top. I decided the hot pink top reminded me too much of something Tori would wear so I changed into a sky blue t-shirt.

By then, it was almost 11:30 so I decided to watch some T.V. I turned on the television to Disney channel. Even though I was 15, I still watched Disney sometimes when nothing else was on. Right now, reruns of Wizards of Waverly Place was on and i absently watched it for about 20 minutes before I decided to get up and walk to Walker's house.

It was around 90 degrees outside and although it was hot, there was a cool breeze. The sun was bright and there was only a few clouds in the sky.

I arrived at Walker's front door at exactly noon and I rung the door bell. The door was quickly opened by walker's mom, who had baby Elijah balanced on her hip.

"Oh, hi Kellie!" She greeted me, "Walker is right in the kitchen. We are having lasagna is that ok with you?"

"Yes ma'am, lasagna is one of my favorites." I replied to her politely.

"Oh, great!" She said as she place Elijah in a crib that was sitting in the living room. Apparently they had not unpacked everything because there was boxes scattered all around the room.

I walked into the kitchen and was greeted by the warm smell of lasagna.

"It smells great," I said as I watched Walker bring a plateful of it to the table.

"Yeah it does. It's my grandmother's recipe, it is some of the best lasagna I have ever had."

I sat down at the table and took a bite off of my plate.

"Wow, this is really good!"

"I know right! It's definitely one of my favorites."

"It's mine now, too." I said, laughing.

"Well, you are welcome over whenever we have it."

I'm not sure why, but this made me blush. Why was I blushing? He just said I could come over whenever they had lasagna, it wasn't even that big of a deal.

"Thanks." I finally managed to say, trying to cover up my pink cheeks by taking a big bite out of my lunch.

"Are you kids almost done eating?" Mrs. Johnston asked as she walked into the kitchen carrying a baby bottle.

"I am, are you?" Walker asked me.

I nodded and took the last bite off of my plate.

"Do you have to be home by a certain time?" She asked me.

"Not that I know of, but I'll text my mom and ask her."

"Ok, sweetie, you are welcome to stay as long as you would like. Oh, and by the way, I am so sorry for the mess we haven't completely unpacked everything yet as you might have noticed."

"Don't worry it's fine." I replied with a smile.

"So what do you wanna do?" Walker asked me as his mom scooped our plates off of the table and washed them off in the sink.

"Um, I don't care. We can do whatever."

"How about you guys go upstairs and watch a movie?" Walker's mom suggested.

"Sure. Follow me." He said as he showed me the way upstairs.

The bonus room was pretty bare, with only a t.v., couch, and a few unpacked boxes.

"So what movie do you want to watch?" He asked me as he turned on t.v.

"What about this?" I said as I picked up the Avengers movie that was laying on one of the boxes, "it is one of my favorites."

"That's my favorite too! I have like three or four copies of the movie."

"Same!" I laughed.

He put the movie in and pressed play. He came and sat close to me on the couch. We were close, but not touching.

We were both silent for most of the movie making comments here and there. And in our silence I knew I could trust Walker with anything. He was just such a kind-hearted, open person and I knew he would be a great friend of mine.
