Unraveling Juliet

Fifteen

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Caleb said as he gripped onto my hand tighter than it already was.

"Yes" I muttered under my breath which was an instant reaction for him to heavily sigh. It had been a while since I last saw the girls, Gemma and Lyah. Tomorrow was Gemma's twentieth birthday so Lyah had suggested we could sleep over her flat, have a movie night, then go shopping tomorrow and club at night. 

Caleb was reluctant to let me come, claiming he didn't want me in the same building as Michael but I insisted that at the end of the day they were my best friends and one night couldn't possibly do much harm. This morning, when I shared the news with him he gave me his best puppy eyes and tried seducing me into staying with him. He offered to run me a hot bath and iron my hair in order for me to stay tonight. The offer was tempting, but I refused to leave the girls hanging. At the end of the day, I have spent the past eight months with him. 

"Sunshine you saw them the week after we came back from Disney, do you really have to leave me tonight? " He whined. "It's a very cold night. I won't have anyone to cuddle with or kiss, or even watch movies with."

"What about Nate?" I suggested. I think I have spoken about Danielle before, she's Caleb's good friend. She is dating Nate, who is Caleb's best friend. He works at the car shop, they do boxing together, they used to be dorms in college, and that's how their friendship started. Danielle was friends with Caleb since Junior Year, and so once she came to visit him and Nate opened the door. Apparently from that day on they started dating. Nate graduated from college two or three years ago and to me it was strange they hadn't gotten married; hence they have been dating for such a long time but apparently Danielle isn't sure if she's ready to move in with him and spend the rest of her life by his side. 

"Danielle won't let him come over." He said as he practically dragged himself through the tarmac. "She is making him take her to this play tonight, Les Miserables."

I couldn't help but snort at the idea. Nate, at a play? I'd pay any amount of money to see him sit there quietly for more than an hour. When we finally arrived at the building I called Lyah's floor so she could buzz me in. 

"Man, I'll have to walk these empty Manhattan streets on my own, with no one to protect me." Caleb whined once again. 

An idiotic grin was plastered on my face. "I'll see you tomorrow night, and we can text all you want." I said standing on my tippy toes to wrap my arms around him and kiss his cheek.

"I love you, baby." Caleb said as we stood outside Lyah's apartment. I couldn't help but want to kiss him fiercly every time he said those words to me. It wasn't even two months of when he said those words to me for the first time but every time he said them it made me so felicitious, that I couldn't contain my emotions. Caleb cupped my chin and I wrapped my arms around his nape as our lips made contact. 

I was so into the kiss that I was too busy to awknowledge the door would open at any given time. When it burst open Caleb tried to keep the kiss but I was too flustered to do so. "Holy shit, Juliet! You said he was Cute Caleb not Smoking-hot-givenchy-model-looking Caleb" Gemma squealed. 

Caleb burst out laughing as he held me tightly from my hips, my arms where still around his shoulders. "Shut up , moron." I muttered to Gemma.

"You told them I was cute?" Caleb seductively asked me, lightly pecking my lips. 

"Er.. Yeah." I sheepishly answered. " I'll see you tomorrow." I said bringing him for a kiss again.

"He can stay, and strip for us tonight." Gemma said from the door. 

Caleb chuckled and I burst out laughing. "It's best if you leave now." I muttered looking at Caleb. He pecked my lips one more time and mouthed the words I love you before leaving.
