Westfield High School

The bland taste of the " meatloaf " sitting on my foam lunch tray was appalling. I pushed the tray away not even wanting to look at it because I might just throw up. It's been a couple of minutes into lunch and freckle face and his girlfriend's drama hasn't made it to my table. Hopefully it'll stay that way.Becoming bored in a matter of seconds, I rested my head on the cold lunch table waiting for the bell to ring. The sounds of teenagers laughing and talking surrounded my table as a mixture of warm and cold solids and liquids fell on me. The concoction dropped down from my hair to my shirt to my shoes. It smelled just like spoiled milk making me gag. My feet made a squishing sound as I rushed to the girls bathroom.
I pushed the bathroom the door almost tripping over my own feet from walking so fast. I ripped almost every piece of paper towel they had in the bathroom. Pulling prices and chunks of food out of my hair, draining milk out of my shoes. Girls entered the bathroom followed by Shai.
" Oh my gosh, " I muttered to myself.
Wherever she goes, drama follows so something's going down in this bathroom if I don't leave.
" Oh poor baby, why would someone do that to you, " Shai taunted.
I continued to brush my hair to rid of the food that sat in it.
" Excuse I'm talking to you. "
" Why? What the did I do, "
" You know what you did, so here's a welcome to Westfield, " She smirked before punching my in the back of my head.
With quick retaliation I slammed her on the dirty bathroom floor that contain hair and toilet paper. I sat on top of her and let my anger out trough my fist. Shai pulled my hair then 3 more girls pulled my hair and next thing you know I'm on the grown with fist being thrown from every direction. My fist collided with one of their faces at least once as I tried to fight them off. I had one by the hair holding her down so she couldn't do any damage. I decked one right in her mouth feeling she tooth break on my knuckle.
That's where blood came into play.
So now it's just one-on-one with Shai just like it was before. 3 bulky men rushed into the bathroom, pushing through the crowd of teenagers recording with their phones.
I was pulled off of of Shai who had it bad. One of her little friends decided to run up on me while I was in the hold of a security guard. In the process of her running up my fist met the side of her cheek then her eye making her stumble.
One security guard began to yell " Everyone go to class ! "
My arm was being held by the security guard as I walked down to the principal's office. My face stung, my head hurt, scratches became visible on my face and arms but compared to everyone else, I was fine.
Shai's nose still leaked blood, her friend's tooth was somewhere on the bathroom floor, and what's left of her teeth were bloody.
We sat outside of the principal's office in silence. I pulled my knees up to my chest and placed my head on top of them.
" Remember Jayceon, you're on your last strike. " The principals voiced entered the room.
I lifted my head and make direct eye contact with Jayceon, anger was still present in my eyes; some of it being towards him.
If he would've stayed away from me, none of this would've happened. Shai would've worried about herself.
I clenched my fist until my nails dug deep into the inside of my hands.
" You four, in my office. " The principal, Mrs. Hues, demanded.
I slowly stood, watching the other girls pass me. We all packed into her small office.
" Mrs. Hues— "
" Shai, this is your fifth fight this semester. " Mrs. Hues interrupted.
" I know— "
" But this, is and act of bullying. "
" I'm more beat up than her! She's not even hurt. " Shai pleaded.
" That's a matter of skill, You fought. You lost. Ya girls jumped in. They lost too. "
At that moment I found it hard to keep a straight face, but managed to.
" You. You. You. And you. " Mrs. Hues pointed to Shai's friends and I.
" 10 days. "
" You.... will be going in front of the bored to explain this and if you get lucky, you'll just be suspended. As of right now, you're no longer a student here. " Mrs. Hues explained sternly.
I stood awkwardly as her friends made sounds of sadness and jumped for joy in my head.
" The rest of you, out of my office. "
We scattered out of her office like a bunch of puppies being let out of their cages. I drug my feet across the dirty, cold, tiled floor until I reached my locker.
" Here's a welcome to Westfield. " I mocked Shai's words as I looked in the mirror that was attached to the inside of my locker door.
I scoffed at the little to no damage on my face.
" What the hell happened to you. "
" Oh shît !" I screamed, startled at Jayceon being the first thing I see after I closed my locker.
" Yeah, don't make your presence known before speaking. " I stated sarcastically.
" What happened back there ? "
" Back where ? " I questioned cluelessly.
" In Mrs. Hues' office. "
" You're little girlfriend thought it was okay to— "
" Woah, woah, woah. Don't be throwing that girlfriend word around. "
" Well tell your bîtch to stay in her lane and nobody gets hurt. You should do the same. "
" In other words, stay the hell away from me. I don't like her and I don't like you because you're the reason this happened. So congratulations, you're officially on my list of people I don't fûck with. "
" Along with everyone else in this school ? You don't talk to anybody. You're invisible basically. You have no friends to be like this. "
He was right. Would I give him the satisfaction of knowing that he's right ? No. Would I change my attitude towards this whole situation ? No. What I will do is walk away. That's exactly what I did.
