I was laughing evilly while writing this chapter!!  I hope you enjoy, remember to comment, vote and fan!!

Incase you don't remember what happened in the last chapter, Anna was at an elderly couples house when she was found by the men.  She tried to escape but Robert made her unconcious....somehow.  And the last line was, "Where....Where am I?"

"Don't worry, Anna, you're safe for now."  My vision was blurred, so I couldn't clearly see the source of the male voice.  He didn't sound like an adult, more of a kid.  The voice wasn't familiar.  But the jet black color I could just barely make out was.

My sight was clearing slightly, and the first thing I noticed was piercing green eyes.  The vibrant, mysterious green I had questioned before....before....I was kidnapped.  But who did they belong to?

"You!"  I stood up from the hard ground, whipping my head around to see where I was.  I had no idea, all that surrounded me was grass and some trees here and there.  When my focus became steady on the boy, I knew standing up was a mistake as I became dizzy again.  I sat back down and starting ranting.

"You're the reason I'm here!  You are the one who gave me that stupid note, got me kidnapped, and into this whole mess!  If it wasn't for......for-"

"For me?"

"Yes," I admitted.  "Yes, if it wasn't for you trying to be a hero to make up for what you've done, then I could've been dead by now.  And it's your fault!"

"Look, I didn't think things would be so drastic."

"Oh?  So this was all a prank?  You pranked some girl you didn't even know and this is the outcome?!"

"It wasn't a prank.  I'm the thief."

"That's no excuse for-" I paused mid-sentence.  He was the thief?  "You-you're......"

"I'm the thief," he repeated.

"But why?  And why on earth would you let someone else get kidnapped for it?  You know, it could've been worse."  My blood was boiling.  He had no excuses for what he did.  But him?  I couldn't get over it.

"Come on, they would've never done anything else to you."

"How can you be so sure?"

"They knew all along they were already caught.  I made sure of that."  None of this made any sense.  If they were already caught, why were they so worried about getting the note back?  And why would they take me if they knew I wasn't the thief?

He could tell I was confused.  He began to explain:  "You see, it o-" he paused, as if trying to think of a way to explain.  "I made them ge-"

I looked at him expectantly when he didn't continue.  "And.....?"

"I don't know."

I scoffed.  "You don't know?" I said as more of a statement than a question.

"I really don't."

"Well, thanks for the enlightening!"

"Look, if I knew I would tell you.  It's just complicated."

I got up slowly.  "So what now?"

"We turn them in to the police."

"You say that like it's as easy as slapping somebody."

"That's a weird comparison."  He had a thoughtful look on his face.

"Really?"  I moved my right hand up my back and swung it to the front with my palm faced in so it made contact with his left cheek, producing a loud "thwuak" sound.  "That was easy."  I smirked.  "My point exactly."

"Jeese, Anna, you didn't need to make your point so vivid." He moved his hand up to his cheek.  "...or painful."

"Just doing my job."

"Your job is slapping me?"

"No, my job is knocking some sense into you."

He sighed, as if surrendering.  "We just need to find out where they went to.  I have my cell phone for when we are ready to call 911."  He sat down on a tree stump nearby.

"Seems as though the slap didn't work."

"Please just concentrate."

I hughed, then reluctantly sat down next to him on a smaller stump.

"There's no way they would go back to one of their usual hideouts.  I know them all too well."

"Then we need to track them down."

"Woah there, partner in justice," I joked, trying to make the air less awkward.  "I don't even know your name."

"Lucas, but I go by Luke."

"Okay, then Lucas."  He glared, but I ignored it.  "How the heck do you figure we'll track them down?"

"I have my ways-and gadgets" was his only response before heading out into endless field.

"I'm afraid he sells illegal drugs to get those so-called 'gadgets,'" I muttered under my before following him.
