The Weekend

Miss Jenkins told me the house is nice. It's a big house on the beach with a nice view. She also said my room looks nice. We arrive at the house and then she leaves after talking to my new Mom and Dad? I don't know...

"Hey Juliettttttttttttttt" Ross picks me up and spins me around making me giggle. "Let's go see your room" he smiles and carries me to the room around the corner. He opens the door and puts me down. "You can do some drawing here, and here you have games and teddies and here is your bed. I know there's not much but I don't know much about what you like, but I'll get you anything you want" he says. I hug him to say thanks. "Me and hopefully your new Mommy are going to make dinner, so feel free to look around the house and explore. Or do what you want"

I take his hand and walk him out to the family room then onto the deck and point to the beach.

"You want to go to the beach?" he asks. I nod. "How about me, you and Courtney have a campfire on the beach tonight and make smores?" He insists. I nod. "Okiedokie. Now, go and look around the house, we're in the kitchen if you need us"

He leaves after kissing my forehead. I walk around the beach house and explore like he says I should. I go upstairs to see a big bedroom that smells weird, like perfume mixed with other things. There's a guitar on a stand. The pillows and covers are yellow. I look out the window to see the beach. I smile. It's nice. I've never seen a beach before. I go to the kitchen to see Ross kissing Courtney, ewwww....I tug on the leg of his pants and he looks down and smiles before picking me up.

"Hey Princess" Courtney smiles. I smile back.

"Oh, look what I forgot to give you" Ross says pulling a gold R5 pick necklace from his pocket and a normal R5 pick one and puts them on me. He then gives me a big teddy wearing an R5 shirt. I smile and hug it tightly. "You like your presents?" He asks. I nod and kiss his cheek. He blushes a little then sits me at the table before sitting beside me.

"Dinner" Courtney smiles and places the food in front of me. I stare at the knife and fork and look at Ross.

"Want me to cut your food?" He asks. I nod and he cuts the steak for me. I try to get the fork in but can't. I sigh but keep trying. I don't want to look stupid in front of them. I stand up and try to push it in but can't. Ross and Courtney laugh a little so I sit down and bow my head giving up. "Here" Ross says handing me my fork with the meat at the end. I look at him confused to how he did that so easily. I smile and eat it then he does it again. I take the fork and try to do it myself but can't. "Look, this is the soft part, dig the fork here" he tells me. I nod and do what he said to. I giggle as I did it. "You're cute Juliet" he smiles. Why isn't Courtney eating steak? She's eating pasta instead. I finish my dinner after a while and run to the deck to look at the beach. "We'll go down in a little while" he smiles. I nod and he picks me up.

"There's my two favourite people" Courtney smiles and comes over. Ross wraps and arm around her with me still in his other arm. "Do you like it here, Juliet?" She asks me. I nod and climb into her arms from Ross. I point outside to the beach.

"I said we'll take her there a bit later" Ross sits down on the couch. Courtney sits beside him and I climb into his lap and cuddle him. I rest my head on his chest and slowly fall asleep to the sound of his heartbeat as he speaks to Courtney about his work.

I wake up a little later outside. I sit up and feel arms holding me close.

"Look who finally woke up" Ross exaggerates and kisses my cheek. I look at him confused as to where we are. "We're on the beach" He smiles. I smile and stand up on the warm sand then run to the water but jump back as it's cold. I stand there shivering. "It's not cold you scaredy cat" he picks me up in his strong warm arms. I giggle at his pink swimming trunks. He carries me further into the water. I start to panic, squirm and whine. "Shh, it's okay, I wont let go, I promise" he tells me as he lowers me into the water, I scream and hold onto him tightly. "It's okay, Daddy's here, Daddy's got you" He tells me softly. Isn't that from Finding Nemo? I shake my head and shiver in his arms. "The water gets warmer, I promise. Look, I'm holding you tightly, I wont let go" he says and holds me in the water. I hide in his bare chest as I shiver in the water. It slowly becomes warmer. "Want to sit on my chest while I swim on my back?" He asks. I nod. He holds me close and swims on his back until we reach the sand. I jump off him and shiver.

"Aww, what has Daddy done to you?" Courtney wraps a towel around me.

"I took her swimming, now Mommy, we're building a sandcastle so go over there" Ross pokes his tongue out at her making me giggle.

"Oh, you wanna fight, do ya?" She laughs and pounces on Ross. He eventually gets on top of her and kisses her.

"You're in for it tonight" he bites his lip as she giggles and kisses him.

He then lays in the sand and I sit on his chest putting sand on him and patting it down.

"Hey, are you burying me?" He whines.

"Yeah, lets bury Daddy" Courtney smirks and puts sand on his waist and pats it down.

"Courtneyyyy, stoppp" Ross moans as she laughs. I tilt my head confused.

"Can't a dawg bury its bone then dig it up later" She winks at Ross and bites her lip. The sand starts the lift where Courtney put it but I dont know so I carry on putting sand on his chest.

"Court, stawwwppp" he continues to moan as she giggles.

After somewhat covering his chest I decided to bury his head to so I put the sand on his head.

"Juliet! No! Not on my head or neck! It's dangerous!" Ross tells me off. I flinch, sigh and nod then cuddle him to say sorry. I start to cry a little. He told me off. What if he hits me or puts me back in the children's orphange, foster home place? "Don't cry, I-I-I'm sorry. It's dangerous to put sand on someone's face and neck" He tells me as he sits up. I nod and we all cuddle up around the fire eating smores.

"I want chicken breasts" Ross says to Courtney.

"Depends, do I get my bone?" She smirks.

"Uh-huh!" Ross nods.

"What about the banana split with the whipped cream?" She asks raising her eyebrow, still smirking.

"Oh my God, yes!!" Ross moans and Courtney giggles. I look at them confused.

"It's bed time" Courtney says when she sees I'm listening. Ross carries me into the house and into my bedroom then Courtney puts my PJs on me and tucks me up into the soft covers. "Goodnight Juliet" Courtney kisses my forehead.

"Goodnight Juliet" Ross pecks my lips.

"Goodnight Mommy, goodnight Daddy" I yawn after they leave the room and close the door so they can't hear me. I hold the bear that Ross gave to me, close, as I fall asleep.

Chapter 2 is DONE!! aha, the jokes between Ross and Courtney, took me a while to come up with them. I love their relationship, I bet they make jokes like that in reality 😏😂 Anyways, I hope you're enjoying the book so far.
