"Niall, how do you expect us to raise a three month old?" Liam said while holding Olive against his chest. "I can barely keep up with Harry and Louis."
"Please, please, please! Liam, I can't do this on my own," I whimpered. "What if she grows up to hate me because I forget to feed one time." Liam sighed. He repositioned Olive so that she was sitting upright on his lap.
"I can't say no to that face."
"I knew my face was too cute for you to say no to." I winked seductively, or at least I tried to.
"Not yours, Olive's." Well, I could agree with him on that. Her blue eyes looked a lot like mine, but her blonde hair wasn't mine. It belonged to her mother, who had strawberry blonde hair. Olive reached out and grabbed Liam's pointer finger. "She's too cute for her own good." Liam shook his head, "You are going to have to keep her away from Zayn and Harry and just about every other boy on the planet."
I shook my head, "I don't want to think too far ahead, you're going to make me feel old." I laughed. Just then, Louis walked in with Danielle and Eleanor by his side. Eleanor was the first to come up to me and comment on Olive's cuteness, followed by Danielle cooing over her.
"I envy you, I can't wait to have a child of my own." Danielle joked. Liam gave her a funny look, to which she rolled her eyes. Love birds.
Olive looked around at every single face, before bursting out into tears in Liam's. I panicked a bit.
"Niall, what do I do with it!" Liam exclaimed. He picked her up and held her up in the air.
"I don't know, pat her back!" I yelled back at him, all the while Olive was crying even harder and harder.
"Here, give me her," Danielle swooped up Olive and kind of did this weird thing where she rocked Oli on her hip. Olive stopped crying almost immediately, which left me in shock. "She's hungry, Niall. When was the last time you fed her?" Danielle swung my niece around a little bit before looking around in Olive's diaper bag.
"I fed her in the morning," I nodded. "Four hours ago exactly."
"Niall," Danielle gave me a funny look, "These critters eat every hour."
"Oi, I didn't know that." I carefully watched as Danielle fed the child. Do all women know how to care for babies? I think I'll be needing a lot of help from Danielle and Eleanor.
After Olive finished feeding, she smiled for the first time! "Liam, take a picture of her first milestone! My baby's growing up!" I whipped out my cellphone and just as I was about to take a picture when she decided she wanted to frown and pull a mad face.
Even better, I got a picture of her frowning and pulling a mad face.
---------------
Niall, there is a rumor going around that you got a girl pregnant and you took the baby from the mother. Is it true?" The interviewer asked. Me the the boys were going an interview with some talk show host. A picture had leaked three months after Olive came into my life.
"No sir," I shook my head. "It's true, I am the guardian of a baby, but I didn't get the mother pregnant. It's my niece. I taking care of her now that she's an orphan."
The audience awed and cooed.
"Can Niall get any cuter?" The interviewer asked. "It shouldn't be legal." She laughed. "What's the girl's name?"
"Olive, she's a cutie." I smile. I was pretty damn proud of my niece.
"She's a show stopper, alright." Liam pitched in.
"Such an adorable name. I heard you brought her with you today, can we see her?"
"Sure," A lady walked out from the back holding Olive. Today I had dressed her in a little strawberry covered dress with a white headband on her head. Her hair was starting to grow in a bit more. It wasn't as sparse as before and it wasn't a full thick mane either.
The audience stared in awe as they saw Olive.
"I told you guys she was a show stopper." Liam and the boys laughed.
The lady set Olive on my lap. She cooed and giggled in my lap. "How are you doing, princess?" I asked her. She baby talked back to me. "Ugh, she's too cute." I have her sit upright with her head leaning back on my chest.
The interviewer began asking us about how our tour was going and if we were working on a new album and such. After the interview, we decided to go out to eat at a restaurant near out hotel.
I left Olive with Danielle and Eleanor, who were joining Liam and Louis on tour with us. They said they were going to get their nails done, so we figured they'd take Olive with them since Olive needs some girl time. She's been constantly with me for the past three months. I don't want her getting extremely attached to me.
"I heard you havent had much of a social life since Olive came into your life." Harry mentioned. it was true, since Olive came into my life, getting a girlfriend was the last thing on my mind.
"Yeah, I haven't..." I mumbled, showing some more chicken in my mouth.
"Don't you want to get a girlfriend? You know, have a mother figure for your kid?" Harry pestered.
"Not now, at least. I want to wait a little bit."
"Who are you and what have you done to Niall?" Zayn laughed. "She's definitely turned you into a better person. When was the last time you even had a beer?"
When was the last time I had a beer. I had stopped drinking around the time I got Olive.
"Around three months ago, I guess." I felt a bit proud of myself.
After we ate dinner we went back to the hotel to relax before we caught our flight to the next city, Dallas, Texas. An hour after we arrived, El and Danielle came back with Olive.
"Dadda!" It was her first word. The first word she had spoken..ever. I felt extremely accomplished as a father. She was six months old and she already muttered her first word.
"Princess." I picked her up and swung her around a bit, "I'm so happy your're home.
"Dadda."
