I couldn't believe what just happened...

After Cora's outburst, I stood in the middle of the cafeteria dumbfounded. How can Pamela do such thing? I know she's mean but I didn't know she was such a bitch! Now Cora hates me which means the bet is off, goodbye 40 bucks. There's no way she'll fall in love with me because of this. Damn it! Cora will never talk to me again... she'll never even want to see me at all.

Hey wait... Why do I feel guilty about this? I'm Clement High school's number one jock. I shouldn't be bothered by this kind of things. So why does it hurt when I saw her get hurt?

When Cora looked at me with that pained expression in her face, I felt my heart break into a million pieces.

W-wait that's not good. I think I'm....

"Baron! Wait. Why are you avoiding me?" Pam shouted as she ran to my direction. I didn't even bother to look at her. I hurriedly got my keys from my pocket but before I could open the car's door, Pam managed to block me.

"What the hell is your problem?" She asked flipping her straight black hair back and looked at me through her lavender colored contact lenses. Why is she's so irritating.

"You’re my problem! How can you tell her that? This bet was supposed to be a secret." I tried my best to control my anger. If Pam was a man, I would've punched her already.

"Ow come on, Baron. It was just a major change of plan. She annoyed me looking all high and mighty just because you're courting her so I just had to tell her. You should've seen her face, it was precious." she said, her giggles were like of a devil” she totally turned to stone when I told her that you were just playing with her all this t..." BAM!! I slammed my fist on my car just to make her stop talking.

"Will you shut up already?!" I shouted. I can't believe hearing the truth can hurt so badly. “Not everyone is happy to see others hurt." I said with gritted teeth

"Are you kidding me? It's not like you haven't done this before. You're not innocent Baron. You've played with more girls than you can count so why do you feel guilty now. Don't tell me that you've actually fallen in love with that girl?"

And there it is ladies and gentlemen. The truth struck me like Zeus's thunderbolt. I ran my hand on my messed up hair and closed my eyes.

"Damn it, Pam! I am in love with her." I said frustrated, and then I shoved her out my way and got into my car leaving her speechless.

I started the engines and drove away. Realization washed over me like cold water from the winter lakes.

Oh my God! I'm in love with Corazon Hails! Since when did I feel this way towards her? I thought back the time when Pam asked me to steal Cora's heart.

" So that's Corazon huh?" I asked attentively that day in the cafeteria while I and the other cool kids are having lunch.

Pamela asked me to prove that I'm still the number one Jock in school by making the Latina girl fall head over heels with me. On my perspective, she is one of those innocent untainted girls who just hit their teenage years. She's cute and athletic, not too dumb for a girl as well...

She hangs around with her two childhood friends. Seth, one of her best buds is part of the basketball team. He's the best player we got I admit but I'm pretty sure he's not a threat on my part because he acts like her brother.

Everyone in the basketball team is friends with Cora because she's always with Seth. I heard she’s a member of the newspaper club in first year and she never had a boyfriend before... I bet she never even had her first kiss yet. My mouth curved upwards on the thought.
