"Hey Ivy!" I heard Vanessa call as I was about to close my locker and head to my next class.

"Hey, Nessa" I replied, turning around to face her.

"Soo, what are your plans for the week?" She asked coyly, I knew she wanted to know if I had any other plans for my birthday this Saturday. My friends did that every year, one of them would come to me and ask if I had any plans so that they could plan my 'surprise' party. Wasn't much of a surprise to me anymore, they knew that too, but they loved me and I loved them and so I played along.

"Hmm.. I'll have to see and get back to you about that" I said, tapping my chin. She rolled her eyes at that.

"Whatever, like you have any other people to make plans with" She said jokingly. Shaking my head at her I just replied with an 'ouch'.

"So that means no?" She smirked.

"Hmph, whatever. I'll see you later." And with that I rushed to my first class as the second warning bell rang with her laughter echoing in the now empty hallway.

Lunch came sooner than expected but by then I was as hungry as the hungriest person alive. Well that's what my brain could come up with anyway, hunger got to my brain sometimes.

I quickly packed my bag and started heading towards the cafeteria. Looking around for my friends. Strangely, there was no sign of Eliot today, at least not in the classes before lunch. Maybe he was running late or something. I swear that guy was everywhere that I was.

My mind suddenly drifted to that night days before. That voice in my room. A woman's voice. I had totally forgotten about it until now. Maybe I dreamt everything? Yes that had to be it.

Those dreams were getting weirder now. I was suddenly in places that I've never been to and I waited for something to happen but nothing ever did and I woke up with that same pain in my left arm. Only this time there was no blood. And that voice, she didn't bother me again.

The voices of chattering students brought me back to reality. I was standing in front of the cafeteria door. It always irritated me that they insisted on keeping the door closed. It made no sense to me whatsoever.

Breathing in slightly I pushed the heavy cafeteria door. It creaked a bit, having grown old with nature. Suddenly everyone inside the cafeteria got quiet. Weird. I let out that breath I had been holding and stepped into the cafeteria.

Hundreds of eyes were looking at me when I entered the cafeteria. I squirmed a little under their gaze and my hand went straight to my face to check if I had something on it, few seconds later they all slowly looked away, disappointed or something and the cafeteria was once again filled with their loud and obnoxious chatter.

With a brow raised I walked towards my table.

"What just happened?" I asked pulling out a chair for myself.

"Oh nothing, I think everyone was waiting for Eliot to show up, as he hasn't missed a day of school since he's joined. And he's getting quite famous with the crowd, now with his looks and that 'mysterious' personality I'm not surprised." Amy, the 'all-knower' said.

"Really?" I scoffed.

"Oh don't even try to deny the facts Ivy." She countered, a smug look plastered all over her face. If only she knew what really was happening.

After that night in my backyard I hadn't seen Eliot in my dreams too, and in real life we only saw in other in classes and that was it. And today he wasn't here at all. I couldn't tell my friends about my dreams, until I was sure it was something to worry about and not just nightmares.

A small part of me hoped that Eliot was okay. Maybe I could go visit him after school, I could give him the notes of the stuff he missed in class. Yes, that sounds like a good plan.

"Hello, Earth to Ivory?" Vanessa who was sitting next to me, called. I was once again brought back to reality by the snapping of her fingers right in front of my face.

I swatted her fingers away and concentrated on my friends.

"Yeah okay, but wasn't all of that a bit dramatic?" I asked, rolling my eyes.

"Yes it was." Sarah agreed with a chuckle.

"Anyways...." I started, and pulled my lunch out from my bag.

Amy suddenly started "Oh! I totally forgot to tell you guys! The head cheerleader....." and that's how we went back to our normal everyday 'cafeteria talks', where Amy filled us in with the daily gossips while I munched away happily on my sandwich.

***

I pulled my car into my driveway and just sat in the car for a while, going over my plan once again. Could I really just go over there? Yes. He did the same thing last time didn't he?

I quickly got out of the car before my mind could convince itself otherwise.

Before I knew it, I was standing in front of his door. Standing there wondering if he lived alone or would I meet his family too with one of my hand raised, ready to ring the bell, I must have looked like an idiot to people passing by.

Oh what the hell, and with that thought ladies and gentlemen I rung Eliot Grace's house bell.

After what seemed like an hour later and when I was about to drown in my sweat -way to be dramatic Ivy- the door opened and Eliot came into view, looking amazing.

My mind was everywhere and his musky scent didn't help my case, that's why the words I said made me facepalm mentally.

"What took you so long idiot?"
