intro

UPDATED INTRO 24TH DECEMBER 2018

Ok so I started entering cover contests back in the summer of 2015 (the first one i entered was the cover contest for 'The Cell Phone Swap' by DoNotMicrowave, and those entries have long since been unpublished by me as i was so embarrassed by them haha) and for a long time my covers were mediocre at best (as you'll see if you look at the first covers in here). In 2015 there were very few cover contests on here, so i strugged to improve and also struggled to develop my own style of designing.

However, I like to think i've improved since then!

I'll put a marker chapter at some point in this book where I think my covers started looking better and more professional; I have a feeling it's going to be quite far down in the chapters!

I'm 3.5 years into designing covers, and I still think there's so much room for me to improve, and so many styles I haven't explored yet. Maybe 2019 will be the year for that (you know, instead of revising for GCSEs and writing 6th form applications oops).

I'd also just like to point out that in the original intro below, I said I'd be using this book to make covers for people as well as for contest entries. This is no longer true; if you'd like a cover from me, please go to my graphic shop which you can find on my profile. at the time of writing this, i am closed in oder to catch up on covers, but feel free to request once i'm open aagain!

1st December 2015

In this book, I am going to post any entries I have for cover contests, as well as covers I make for people. I take requests; this is partly why I made this book. However, there are a couple of rules:

- you must allow 1-2 weeks for your cover to be made. I have a lot of things going on in my life, so I don't have as much time as I would like to make covers.
-when I have made your cover, I will post it on here. If you decide that you want to use it, you will need to give me your email address or some means of contact so that I can send it to you. Alternatively, you can also just save the image, but this does not always work, and the picture does not always come out as good as it should.
-if you do not like the cover that I make for you, I will be more than happy to try again. Just tell me what I need to improve!
-nothing above PG-13 please!
As far as I know, that's all the rules; I may add some later if I need to.
