We all make our way to the front door of the house. I ring the doorbell and wait. The house isn't exactly grand or special in any way. It is a one story, small, white house. I look back after a moment and see everyone leaning against the railings, doing anything to get off of their feet.

We had to walk about six miles to get here.

I sigh, ring the doorbell again, and out he popped! The strange-looking old man narrowed his eyes and adjusted his spectacles before speaking up.

"You're late." He mutters.

"Uh....." I look back at them all and they shrug.

"Princess Rose, you may come in. However, your friends need to stay out here."

"Okay." I'm a bit weirded out that he knows my name but I just ignore it.

I step through the door frame and he slams the door the second I'm inside. I gulp and he points to an old chair.

"Sit."

I do so and wait for him to sit across from me but he doesn't.

"Tea?" He asks and fills a kettle with water.

"No thank you." I answer. "I assume, since you know my name, you know why I am here?"

"I do."

"So what can you tell me about freeing my parents?"

"Nothing." He laughs. "Sugar?"

"Nothing?" I question. "I don't understand. My parents specifically trusted you with this task."

"You don't want any sugar? Alright."

"I don't want tea." I remind him. "I want to free my parents."

"Oh, right. Them." He nods and seems to be thinking. "Well, this might come as a shock to you.."

"Yes?" I ask intently.

"Your parents are inside that pretty locket of yours."

I groan. "Yes, I know that. But what else can you tell me?"

He scowls at me and turns back to his tea. I begin to get angry until I notice him struggling to lift the heavy kettle with his frail arms.

"Here," I say and stand up. "Let me help you."

I lift the kettle over the beautifully painted teacups and begin to pour. I fill it until he signals for me to stop. I then hand the glass to him and he drops it. The teacup smashes into a million pieces and he gasps.

"No..." He frowns and tears well up in his eyes. "My wife gave me that before...before..."

"Don't worry." I frown and help him to the chair that I had previously been sitting in. "Look."

I kneel on the floor, careful not to position myself in any glass. I sweep some small pieces into a pile in front of me and hover my hands over them. I close my eyes and concentrate on fixing it. When my eyes open again the teacup is whole.

"See?" I smile and stand up, handing the teacup to the old man. "Good as new."

His eyes go wide and he grins at me.

"Perfect!" He shouts and throws the teacup away from him. I cringe when u hear it break again. "You've passed the test!"

"Test?" I repeat.

"To see if you really are the princess. You are stubborn like your mother, yet patient like your father; and compassionate like your mother, yet logical like your father. You're the princess!" He grins and I giggle. "Now, what do you want to know?"

"How do I save my parents?" I ask.

"Oh that's easy!" He scoffs. "Go get your friends and follow me to the basement."

I do as I am told and we all walk to the basement. When we reach a wall the old man pulls a lever and the floor under us moves and we are in a secret room. There are hundreds and hundreds, if not a thousand books.

"Give me that locket." The man says and holds out his hand. I give him the locket and he smiles at me. "I hope you enjoy your trip."

"My trip?"

Suddenly, the man pulls out a dagger and stabs the locket. A portal opens behind me and I scream as I feel myself being dragged into it. Evan grabs my hands and tries to pull me back but he eventually begins to get sucked in as well.

"Evan!" I cry out as Jenna and everyone else grabs his hand while I hold his other. "Let me go!"

"Not a chance." He insists. "We're gonna make it out of here. Just hold on!"

"Come on!" Andromeda groans as she and the rest of our friends attempt to pull us back.

And all of a sudden we slip from their hands.

"NOOOOOO!" They all shout and Evan and I scream as we fly through and infinite void of nothingness.

Our friends shrink into tiny little specks. That is, until all of the girls catch up to us.

"What are you doing?!" I shout over the sound of howling wind.

"You didn't think we were gonna let you go that easy did you?" Jackie smiles. "We all are gonna make it!"

"I hope you're right!" I shout back and look at Evan.

Unfortunately, I have a feeling that Jackie is wrong and only very few of us will get out of this.

HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

I'm evil.

I am so sorry for ending with a cliffhanger but I feel like it had to be done.

So, what do you think is gonna happen?

Will someone die?

Where are they going?

Should they have trusted the old man?

Where are Rose's parents?

What will happen?

Why does Rose have a bad feeling?

Tell me what you think in the comments!

I will DEFINITELY crack up at some of them. You guys are hilarious, honestly. Try to be creative.

Anyway, I'm on a writer's high this week so there will probably be an update soon.

Adios. Ü
