Chapter 22

-Kailyn-

"Hi, im Cody."

This boy sat down next to me on the beach.

"Im, Kailyn." I smiled.

He grabbed my hand and caressed it.

"Well, why are you out here all alone babe."

I blushed so hard.

His Australian accent was the cutest thing id ever heard.

"I'm going through some things, its just complicated."

"Well, you can tell me anything.."

He grinned.

I was about to explain, but we were interrupted.

"She wont be telling you anything."

I turned around to see Austin.

"Austin LEAVE!"

Cody looked at me confused.

"Who is that ayy?"

"Thats the problem i have.. Him."

"Kailyn, please lets go home."

Austin pleaded.

"Austin go HOME! Stop following me around!"

"No, come on please lets leave."

Austin grabbed my arm.

"Ay mate, leave the girl alone. You're not her boyfriend." Cody chimed in.

"Actually yes i am. So shut your mouth. Now we'll be leaving."

I turned back looking at cody with an 'I'm sorry' look. He got so pissed. He ran up to me and Austin & pushed him. Austin gave him a dirty look & punched him. Before i knew it cody was on the ground with a bloody nose.

I pushed them away from each other.

"Stop.. STOP. Both of you don't control me. Austin, you're NOT my boyfriend. And Cody, You had no reason to start a fight. BEFORE YOU SAY ANYTHING, GO HOME. I'm taking a walk, ALONE."



I walked away & i heard footsteps behind me. I just rolled my eyes & kept walking. Whether it was Austin or Cody i could care less.

"Please wait.. Can we talk. Ill buy you coffee.."

He explained.

"Save it.." I kept walking.

"I don't want your stories & lies.. I don't know who to believe."

He stepped closer as i began to slow my walk. I felt his hand on my shoulder. Although, i don't technically know him, something about him sorta made me feel comforted. I couldn't admit that to him though. He would totally think i like him. He brought his face to mine as i turned my head to look at him. He rested his other hand on my waist & looked me in the eyes. I felt the lust between us but i definitely wasn't going to act like i was in complete love with it.

He stared my eyes once more & slowly planted a warm kiss on my cheek. By now, tears rolled down my cheeks, which he softly wiped away. I held back a smile, & we walked together silently for about 5 minutes before he broke the silence.

"Do you remember your favorite coffee?"

He whispered.

"No.. Do.. Do you?"

He nodded.

We kept walking & reached a cute little Starbucks down the street. We went inside & i found us a seat while i waited for Austin to bring me my coffee. I didn't know i had a favorite.. I didn't know i had ever been to Starbucks before.

He looked up and smiled at me while he carried the drinks to the table.

"Here.. Try it first." He set the cup in front of me & i slowly picked it up.

It was caramel. A caramel frappé.

This boy knew so much about me. So many things i wanted to know. Things I've tried to remember. I've been such a bitch, that he couldn't explain himself. I really felt bad. All my emotions built up inside of me& i let out the last bit of tears. He reached over and wiped them away.

"Is everything okay.." He said very concerned.

"Yeah. Thanks, for the coffee."

He smiled.

"Of course, Kay."

I motioned him, to come closer so i could tell him something.

"Let's go home. I need to know.."

He nodded with a very serious and concerned look. He understood exactly what i'd meant& he looked more than willing to help me out.

Austin seemed like he was a true friend.



-Austin-

After all of this happened, i felt like i wasn't myself any longer. I was trying so hard to push this all on her, at once. I needed to take it slow, if i really wanted her to remember. Today, she gave me a chance. I didn't make it noticeable, but deep down inside i was the happiest boy ever.

Before i went to find her at the beach, i bought her some flowers & necklace. Today, was her birthday. Which she also didn't know before. I was more than willing to help her out, even if that means starting all over. From the beginning.

"So.." She said.

"Lets go up to my room, we can talk."

I led her up to me room & i laid down on my bed. She laid beside me & lay her legs over top of mine. I smiled at her & she returned one. A beautiful one at that.

"Austin.. Tell me everything, just all the things i need to know.. About you & me."

"Well, its going to be long, but it's worth it. Because you mean the world to me."

She nodded.

"Alright."

"You were invited to Alex's party,& we met there. We went out to the store,& we kissed. It gave me sparks& i immediately thought i should give you a chance, so..."

I explained everything to her. Our fights, our journey. How much he loved each other. How badly devastated i was when she got hurt & forgot. She might not be able to take it all in, but hopefully it would sink in.

"So.. We love each other. And you're my boyfriend.?"

"Yeah.. Ahaha. We are a couple. But i mean, if thats too much for you, we can always be friends & if you're comfortab-"

She shh'd me & smiled.

"It's okay. We can start out though, by being best friends. See where that gets us.. Aye?"

"Sure, anything for you."

She smiled and closed her eyes.

She slept in my arms & i watched her sleep before i got too tired & we both passed out. I was so happy that i could help her. But, i feel like if she ever lets me go & dates other guys, she wont be able to deal with it after her emotional trauma. Its best, if she stays by my side. Keeping her safe, is something i would put before my entire life.

•I wrote this at 10 at night so excuse mistakes. I don't wanna fix them. Too tired. Volleyball tomorrow•

I can't write long chapters because my good ideas clash with my good chapter starters. Just be thankful how fast i updated this. Sortaaaaa. But, enjoy. At least its something. I know i said i would stop this story, but i feel like i need to go to maybe about 30 chapters. +Epilogue. It would just make it better. I hope you enjoy it.
