3:54am

Heavy breathing fills the room, light barely escapes through the window in the early morning. I hear moaning, crying, screaming for help in the quietest whisper. I don't know if I'm in the dream or it's Calum. He's been through a lot lately, so I figure it would be him. I roll over and wrap my arms around him, falling back to sleep quickly. His warm body comforts me as I drift off, knowing that I'm safe, and I comfort him in his darkest hours.

4:39am

I hear a scream escape Calum's cold lips. I jump up, grabbing the sheets, flicking the light on. I wake up to see him sitting straight up, eyes red, cheeks drenched from tears.

"Babe? Are you okay? What's going on? Talk to me, please."

"I...I just c-can't right n-now okay?"

He brushes his hands across his face to wipe the tears and lays back down, but I pull the sheets from off of his back and roll him over.

"Calum, please talk to me. I can't help you, and you can't get any sleep without talking it out, please."

He finally opens up, holding both of my hands in front of me. He gazes into my eyes with full trust and speaks his mind completely. Calum begins with how there is so much pressure on him with the fans and music. He loves the fans, but he wants to make them happy more than he wants to make himself happy. Nothing has felt more sincere than this moment right now.

"My teenage years are gone. I'm not saying I regret this but I kind of regret it. The only constant in my life is you."

He looks up with his big brown eyes and smiles slightly. I squeeze his hands to remind him that I'm always here. He looks around, slides his hand under my hair and around my neck, pulls me closes and presses his now warm lips against mine.

His lips are soft. So soft. His teeth gently pull at my bottom lip as he guides me onto my back and pulls the covers over us. I hope these late nights never end.
