Chapter 31

The sound of a car drifting at a corner can be heard from a block away. Taeng and Tiffany held onto their seats preventing from themselves being thrown away or something. The car who was supposed to be driven by Taeng, was now madly and fastly driven Yul.

"Dude, can you slow down a bit?" Taeng can only move his eyes and looked at his bestfriend

"We're almost there" said Yul, but no difference of the speed of the car.

"Dude, there's a beautiful model behind there and I don't want her face to get ruined if something happens" said Taeng

Tiffany had her hands locked tightly onto the handle and the seat, "Yul, slow down"

"Sica needs me. I need to get there fast"

"Dude, if I receive any tix or anything, you're gonna pay for it" said Taeng again

They reached another corner and Yul turned the wheel immediately and drifted the car. According to Taeng's belief, Yul had never done that in his entire life.

"Yul we could get into an accident if you don't slow down!" Tiffany raised her voice

"Something happened to Sica's mom and she can't handle it alone! I know her!" Yul raised his voice back

Both of them gulped.

"Fany ah.. just let Yul do his own thing.."

The both of them kept quiet and let Yul drive the car to the hospital. They hardly prayed that they will safely reach the destination.

All she could think and say was 'mom' while riding the elevator.

*ting*

The elevator door open and she sprung out. People starting to notice her existence.

"Isn't that Jessica Jung the model?"

"Hey it's Jessica!"

But she ignored everyone and went straight to her mother's ward room.

"Mom"

She was almost there when she saw the doctor just walked out of the room.

"Doctor!" she ran towards him.

"Jessica, finally you made it"

"What.. what happened to my mom?"

She peeked through the transparent square box on the door and saw Krytal already arrived. Her younger sister was just sitting beside the bed and held Mrs.Jung's hand. Everything seemed so calm, except that she can see Krystal's eyes were filled with tears.

She grabbed the door knob but to be stopped by the doctor.

"Before you go in.."

Jessica turned to look at him.

"You must understand this situation. It happens to all humans in the world.."

"What are you talking about?" she asked

But he didn't say anything and just walked away with his head hung low.

Jessica turned the knob and entered the room with a fake confident smile on her face.
