Chapter 24

Jack's pov:

DREAM

Everything was black but I knew I was in the woods, but how? I could smell the trees and the animals. I couldn't hear anything. I started to make my way through the dark. I don't know which I was going; I just had this feeling that told me to go this way.

After what felt like forever I stopped, I couldn't move. There was this load scream that made my heart stop and the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. That sounded like Max! After that everything went quite, like nothing happened.

I turned my head to where the sound came from, but I didn't see anything but the darkness. Just like it was there the whole time a light was there. No it was a person. A woman. She had this power to her, I couldn't see her face but I knew she was very pretty. With her long black hair and a glow around her.

"You need to find him. He needs your help. He won't last very long." She said with tears in her eyes. "Help him before it's too late."

"What do you mean?" I yell just as she was gone. What am I going to do? What does she mean? I guess thinking made my head hurt because I fell to the ground just as screams filled the air. Max's screams. Now not just my head was hurting but so was my chest as well.

Buzz. Buzz. Buzz.

What the hell is that noise? I opened my eyes to see that I fell asleep watching Vampire Boys on Netflix. I sat up on the couch.

"What was that all about? Was it just a dream? Why can't I remember most of it?" I said to myself. I guess I just miss him maybe he is back now and I can talk to him, with that I picked up my phone off of the table and unlocked it.

Four of them were from Lisa and the other one was from Adam. I clicked on the one from him. Not really caring about Lisa right now.

From Adam: Hey!! Im on my way over u better be up!!!!

I got up off the couch and made my way up the stairs to the kitten to get me something to eat before Adam got here. Knowing he will just eat all of my food.

When I got to the top of the stairs I heard people talking, it kind of sounded like Lisa. What is she doing here? She's wasn't going to be here until 9, its only 5.

"Lisa?" I asked when I stepped in to the kitchen. My mom and dad were in here as well doing something that they didn't let me see. Lisa came over to me and kissed me on the lips, but I didn't kiss her back. She pulled away giving me a look.

"What's wrong baby?" I shook my head and looked over to my dad.

"Has Max come back?"

"I haven't seen him today. Maybe he went out with his friends?" My dad said looking at me with sad eyes.

"What friends?" Lisa said pulling me into the other room. What she said made my wolf want to rip her throat out, but I pushed the feeling down and just followed her into the living room. She sat down and turned on the T.V. I guess this is a time to talk to her before the party.

"Lisa we need to talk." She looked over at me and nodded her head then looked back at the T.V.

"Yeah, sure. What about?"

"Iwannabreakup." I said a little too fast, I just don't want her to try and kill me.

"What?" she asked like she didn't hear me, I turned my head.

"I said that I want to break up with you. I think its best. I like someone else, and I don't think I can be with someone who is mean to their family." I looked at her and got up really fast.

"What do you mean 'I think its best'?!" She got up and made her way over to me, looking like she was going to kill me and I think that is what she is going to do too. "And who the fuck is this "someone else"?" She yelled at me, making me back up to the wall.

I maybe a werewolf but she scared the shit out of me sometimes. When I didn't say anything she started to walk closer to me.

"Okay look, we have been together for a long time and we got together I really did like you a lot but I don't think I like you the way that I used to. There are things that I haven't told you before and I'm not going to because you are not the one that I need to tell to." She stopped walking when I said that, but she still looked like she was going to kill me. "Do you understand what I am saying?"

"Who do you like? I'm going to kill her!"

"Well the thing is that it's not really a girl, it's kind of your brother." I said trying to find a way to get out of the room.

"WHAT!?" she yelled making my mom and dad run into the room. They looked at me and then at Lisa.

"What is going on in here?" My mom asked looking at me.

"Well I kind of broke up with Lisa." I said trying to move closer to them, so is Lisa tried to kill me then they can do something about her.

"I'm leaving," Lisa said and walked to the door right when Adam walked in. He looked at her and smiled, but all she did was pushed him out of the way and kept walking.

"What's her problem?" He asked as he walked in to the room and sat down on the couch. My mom and dad walked out of the room, but not without giving me a looking saying that we will talk about what just happened later.

"Well I broke up with her and she kind of yelled at me," I said sitting down next to him.

"I didn't think that you would do it so soon."

"What do you mean?" I asked looking at him and not the TV that he was looking at. It was on some singing show that I don't know that name of.

"Never mind," he said turning off the TV and turning to look at me. "Tell me everything," he said.

"What do you want me to tell you?" I asked even no I knew what he was talking about.

"Everything that you know about that person that you think is your mate."

"Um well.... He's adorable. He's sweet. He's loving. And even though I don't know if he is my mate until tonight I think I love him. It's wired, isn't it?"

"No it's not wired. Now tell me how much you think you love him," he said with a wired smile.

"Explaining how much I love him is like explaining what water tastes like, completely impossible!" I said looking him in the eyes not really thinking about what I said until I said it. He was still looking at me with that wired smile, but it got bigger after I said that. "What?"

"I just really think that he is your mate. Can you tell me who it is? Please?"

"Fine, I think it is Max."
