Ryuko took her scissors and slashed at the life box, trying to open it. She needed to have what was in that box. Her dark hair plastered to her face as she panted, striking the box again. There was a loud clash and a flash of light, causing her to jump back. "It's close." Someone said behind her. Ryuko spun around, nearly dropping her scissors to see who was speaking.
The principal stood by the door, Mikisugi hiding in his large shaddow. "Do you know what's in that box young lady?" He asked, smirking. "Your power source?" She asked, pushing her hair out of her face. He shook his head almost non perseptably, and looked at Mr. Mikisugi. "Do you want to tell her?" He asked, stepping to the side so she could see his bright blue hair. Mikisugi shook his head, and put his hands in his pockets.
Ryuko glared. "You again?" She asked angrily. "In that box is a weapon." The principal stated, gesturing at the box hidden in the corner of the large basement behind Ryuko. "Miss Motoi, do you wish to destroy us all?" He questioned. Mikisugi smirked, but turned his face so the principal could not see. He pointed his toe at the box, telling her to continue as the principal; ranted. Ryuko turned and slashed the box open with her scissors, cheering triumphantly. She reached her shaky hand in and drew out some cloth. "More life fibers?" She snarled, getting ready to shred the cloth with her scissors.
"Wait!" Mikisugi shouted, and lunged for Ryuko' scissors. She gasped as he fell on her, sending her scissors flying and snatching up the cloth. Ryuko stared into the blue eyes of her closest friend and he blinked confusedly. "It's senketsu..." He whispered, standing back up to fend off another attack from the principal, but he was gone.
