Ana's POV

"Ana." My mother called after me as we entered the big white and prestine house after what seemed like a really long car ride due to complete and utter silence.

"Ana. Ana come back here and listen to me. " she called out one last time before I entered my room at the top of the stairs to the right. By then I was already sick and tired of her obvious judgement ever since she got the call from school. I could see it on her face, I could see it through her sharp hazel eyes, I could see it through her posture of slight revulsion towards me when she was sitting next to me in the car and her arm almost brushed mine.
Not one moment was she completely relaxed, she was always sitting up right making it seem as if the tight pencil skirt forced her to sit up in a rigid military position.

I turned around and stomped back at her as i flicked her off and judging by her mouth slowly gaping open that that was the last thing she thought I would ever do.
That was a stupid assumption. Its not like i havent done it before.

My dad came out of the living room with slippers and work clothes like he just got home not even an hour ago and joined us at the edge of the stairs with a worried look on his face. "Honey what's wrong?" he asked my mom looking worried then turned to me with an outraged look on his face and said "Ana what did u do this time". His thick black eyebrows came together

I was already fuming and death glaring my mother up and down but once he said that I turned my face sharply to glare at him as well. That last comment was unnecessary and was the very last bit I needed to go over the edge.

"WHAT DID I DO? DID U SERIOUSLY JUST SAY THAT!" they both slightly jumped.

Then, suddenly it was like a lightbulb clicked in my head. I knew exactly how to break the news to them. Breath, cuz you are totally gonna nail this like a boss. I tell myself and slowly let a breath out through my nose and then my mouth. Both of my parents relaxed as if I was going to finally cooperate and crawl on my hands and knees for forgiveness. How sad. Not really.

Here goes nothing

"k. you wanna know what I did. I got called to the office cuz I busted some girls face open" I said right to my dad's face and before he could process what I just said to him I turned to my mom, who already had a falling look of disappointment etched deep into her face and ended it with the final piece de resistance.

"I don't care what you do. Take my phone. Move me to a new school. Get rid of my social media. It won't change a thing cuz they're everywhere. I like girls. DEAL. WITH. IT."

And with that I crossed my arms over my chest, smirked and made my way up the stairs with my head held high and proud. Feeling the weight on my shoulders slightly get lighter.
