"Calum!" She squealed, as the tan boy flailed his arms around her bottom half as he tried to latch onto her ankle. He had gotten a hold of it one or two times, but due to her harsh squirming, she was able to rip the two apart.

Calum was giggling at the blonde haired girl that was lying under the bottom row of the many shelves at Walmart, looking out for any feet passing them by.

"Stop it! You're going to get us caught. We need to be quiet and still so our next victim doesn't know we're under here."

"Fine," he furrowed his eyebrows and pouted his pink squishy lips at her.

"You're such a baby!" She giggled, whispering to him down the shelf.

His head began where her feet were. They were lining the isle of Walmart.

"Jordie, we have been under here for at least thirty minutes. I wanna go."

"We can't lose hope Calum. I'm determined to get someone."

"Well, while you're hiding in a shelf in fucking Walmart, I'm going to use the restroom."

Jordie rolled her eyes and then planted them on Calum as he got up from under the bottom shelf, "I'll be back," he said.

Just one minute later, she heard shuffling of sneakers on the floor, and then a pair of long legs dressed in ripped black skinny jeans began down the isle in some black high top Converse.

Jordie's eyes lit up, and a grin appeared on her face. He bottom lip sunk between her teeth as her heart began to pound up into her throat, and right when those black sneakers were in her reach, her hand shot out and wrapped around the ankle.

The legs seemed to tangle up as the sneakers no longer stood on the ground, but rather in the air as the body that belonged to them smacked into the floor.

Jordie accidentally let a faint giggle slip, causing her to gasp and bring her hand over her mouth as her other hand retracted back into hiding.

Jordie lie under the shelf, heart still pounding as the voice of a male caught in her ears.

"OW!" The boy yelped.

He got up and dusted off his jeans. Jordie didn't think much of it. She figured he'd think he was just a clumsy boy and keep on, but she just watched the sneakers, planted on the floor.

She then saw two hands plant themselves there, then some pale biceps.

Then, a head.

She squeaked in fright, her eyes wide with panic.

There was a boy staring at her. A crystal blue eyed boy with barely some scruff on his chin, and a black lip ring pierced into his bottom lip. His bright blonde hair shifted across his forehead a bit, his eyebrows furrowing.

"Was that you?"

Jordie stayed quiet.

"Do you speak?" He smirked.

"Uhhhh-"

"So it was you. You grabbed my ankle. Why are you under this shelf?"

"I don't know."

"I see. Well, I'm gonna have to give it to you. This is a pretty funny prank. It's too bad you don't have anyone recording it."

Jordie swallowed her saliva and nodded slowly. She had always been the shy type.

"How about we get you out from under here, yeah?"

He reached his hand out to her, but she ignored it and scooted out herself. She mimicked what he had done when she caused him to trip, dusting herself off with her small hands.

"So, am I the first one to be pranked like that?"

"Today, yes. I actually had my friend with me but he went to use to restroom."

"He? Should've known a girl as pretty as you wouldn't be all alone."

Jordie's mouth slipped open a bit, a rush of blood rising to her cheeks.

"He's just a friend," she explained.

"Ah, I see. So, how long have you been under here?"

"Maybe thirty minutes."

"He's left you for that long?"

"Oh no, we were under here together, he just left only a few minutes ago."

"Ah well, I should be mad about this, but you're just too cute to get mad at."

Jordie shifted uncomfortably and looked down at her feet, a small smile crept upon her glowing face.

"I better find my friend," she hinted.

"Okay, well, it was nice to meet you," he grinned.

She nodded at the tall figure in front of her, and turned away, starting down the isle and off to find Calum.

"Wait," he exclaimed, "I didn't catch your name."

"I'm Jordie."

"I'm Luke."

She nodded once again, but as she turned to walk away in this awkward situation, he said her name.

"This seems awfully blunt. I don't want to seem like a creep, but, may I have your cell phone number?"

Jordie contemplated for a few seconds, but nodded slowly, not thinking much of it. 'He probably won't even text me' she thought.

Jordie felt awkward without Calum around, and it was very unusual for a boy to talk to her with such confidence, so she felt very uncomfortable. She just wanted to find Calum, and when she did, she had decided upon not telling him about her small encounter.
