Practice,practice,practice

*Daya's POV*
It's been about three weeks since school started and in my opinion it's going very well. So as you know Mia and I want to get a scholarship to Domination University well we were looking at ways we could improve our chances at a scholarship. We found out that we could start a program at our school to help teach kids to sing and us being us we wanted to do whatever it took to get that scholarship. On Wednesday morning we went straight to the principals office, we asked him if we could start a program that would help teach kids how to sing better. Well he was all for it he asked what this program would be called and us being the Netflix loving teenage girls that we are we said that the program should be called Glee Club. He loved it, he told us we could use the old chorus room.
After about a week of setting up the new Glee Club room we put a signup sheet on the bulletin board for Glee. At first not many people signed up, mostly just the people who liked to sing. After about three days of the sign up sheet being put up a lot more people signed up. After auditions and final decisions we had a total of 26 total kids 16 girls and 10 guys. We figured even tho we knew we could have gotten more kids we liked the amount we had gotten.
We decided that we would have practice every Tuesday and Thursday at 12:00-1:00. I don't think Mia and I realised until after about three or four practices that it seemed like all of our kids were the misfits of the school. They were the ones who always got bullied no matter how hard they tried. It seemed like in Glee Club they were able to be them selves, to them Glee Club was were they were meant to be they fit in it was their safe place. Mia and I didn't realise that we were the creators of their safe place.
4 weeks later
Mia and I didn't realise how far we had come with these kids, when we first started they had scratchy voices and couldn't stay on key. Now they have amazing voices and know every key perfectly. One of my favourite parts of getting to teach them is that Mia and I can test new songs that we have wrote recently. Me have our first performance on Friday at the school assembly and to be honest I'm super excited for it, it will give the Glee kids to show their talent.
OPENING NIGHT
The kids are stoked and they really like the song selection it goes to say I am very happy to. The kids step on stay take their places and as soon as they are ready the curtain opens. There are three large steps the kids are standing on with glowing green,pink,and white light all over the stage. As soon as the curtains are fully closed the music starts and they open with sweet whispers. When the kids have finished all three of their songs, sweet whispers,glowing nights,and keep on dreaming, the crowed goes wild they loved the songs and the choreography. I think our misfit group is gonna have a great year.
