10.The Lunch Date

Celeste texted me the details for our lunch date and I was on my way.

I parked in front of a deep dish pizza joint and I walked into the building.

"Hi, I'm meeting with Celeste Braun, has she arrived yet?", I asked the Waiter.

"I'm assuming your Mrs.Brooks. She's sitting at table 4."

The waiter escorted me to the table.

"Hey girl!", Celeste exclaimed.

"Celeste! ", I yelled as I climbed on her.

I was happy to see my best friend. With everything that has happened, we haven't had time to talk, so I'm glad that we would finally get to do that.

"So what have you been up to?", I eagerly asked.

She gave me a look.

"What?"

"April. If you don't spill this damn tea already. Don't play games."

"Ok, ok fine. As you already know, I left in April after Mania."

"Yup."

"So after I did that I was thinking about what I should be doing with my life, now that wrestling was out of the picture, so Philip joking said to do a juicy tell and I did just that."

"Wow. You actually did a tell all! What all did you tell exactly?"

"Well it wasn't about completely bashing WWE, but I definitely talked about WWE's sexist ways, creative, and some behind the scenes stuff. The book is still a biography, so it's also about my journey before WWE, and the purpose of the novel is to encourage people to go after your dreams your own way, not anyone elses."

"Damn girl. That is a good summary of this book. No wonder it nabbed you that Diane Sawyer interview."

"Yes. It was pretty scary, but I'm glad that it's gotten so much exposure. My publisher thinks it could be a New York Times bestseller."

"And your publisher is absolutely right. She must see a lot of potential in you."

"She definitely does. I didn't even like her at first, but she is like the best now. I used to call her devilroux."

"That seems like something you would say." Celeste laughed.

Our pizza arrived and we continued to talk while we ate.

"Now that I have filled you in, tell me how you've been."

"Well for starters, Celestial Bodiez is doing fantastic! I have to send you some booty scrunch leggings."

"Please do. They look comfy, and they'll go with the top I already got from there.

"Just for you I will. Also, PJ and I are doing fantastic! I love being married to him, he's so sweet."

"And pretty much solid like a rock."

"Yess! We are always in the gym."

"So April, do you think WWE will respond to all the buzz that your book has caused?"

"To be honest, I'm not sure. I did pretty much call them sexist, so they probably will, and it would surprise me if they did respond."

"Well girl good luck with that, you have a long few weeks ahead of you."

"You got that right."

"Ugh I feel like a fat cow. I couldn't help myself. This pizza is really good.", Celeste exaggerated.

"Philip and I eat here almost all the time when we're not eating like birds. I was shocked when you texted me this place."

"I asked some people on Twitter, and this place came up... ALOT."

"They've got good taste...and taste buds .

"Stop."

"I'm sorry, that was too easy.

"Your the same quirky and corny person from FCW.

"You have never lied... or have you?

"OK I'll stop."

So... I havent updated in a month. Is it had that I forgot about this book?

My apologies, writing The Carey County Killers , has been fun. You should check it out.

I'll try to update this book more, and updates will continue in the new year, with a possible time skip...or not.
