To cry.
Oh, how wonderful that sounds.
To open my eyes
and have the tears pour out.
I ran out of tears a long time ago
Maybe it was after a heartbreak
It's hard to know.
Instead of tears,
I bear a silent pain.
It follows me around
Slowly turning me insane.
It's almost a gift
For now I can cry all day
Without a second glance
These silent tears cover my face
In my downhearted trance.
I cry and I cry and I cry
I try to cheer up,
God knows I try.
But these silent tears
Have been here for years
And I have a feeling
They're not leaving.
So if you see someone,
Take a second look
You might see the silent tears
That were once overlooked.
