Chpt.5: What A Christmas Eve!

"So how are you and Ronnie?"

"We're doing better Lina. Much better now that we are together. But I just have this bad feeling that once I leave were gonna go right back to bickering at each other." I told my sister as I drank my hot chocolate.

Today was Christmas Eve and my sister, her husband and the kids came to celebrate it with us.

"Well, if it does then call it quits. Take a break and when you're finished with school see where you guys stand. If you guys want to be together, be together. If it doesn't work out move on."

"You're right but it's kind of hard to move on from a person you've developed strong feelings for , let alone fell in love with." I sighed. Mia started crying.

"Looks like the little one is awake. I'll be back." Catalina left the table and went to Mia.

I picked up my phone and texted Ronnie.

Me- Hey babe. What are you doing today?

MyForever - Nothing at all. Was gonna come over later.

Me- Mia and Luis are here. Come by and see them.

MyForever- On my way.

I locked my phone and drank more of my hot chocolate. Catalina came back around the corner with Mia in her arms and Luis trailed behind her.

"Awe. My baby." I cooed as Mia reached her arms out towards me. "Ronnie is coming to see you guys."

"Wonnie? Yay!" Mia clapped her hands.

"You wanna see Ronnie don't you?" I smiled looking at her. She nodded her head drinking from her cup.

"Where's Ricardo?" I asked looking up at Lina.

"He's in the room making a business call." She sighed.

"Lina, do you really believe that?"

"No, but I want to."

"Well, why won't you do anything about it? You can't just sit there and assume he's not cheating on you. Ever since you told me he's been coming home late from work, that's the first thing that clicked in my brain."

"I know. It's that holiday tho. I'll ask him about it after everything is over with."

"Alright. You better do it to."

"I will. I promise." After she finished her sentence the doorbell rang.

"That must be Ronnie."

I stood up with Luis following close and Mia in my arms. I opened the door and there stood Ronnie.

"Hey babe." I said.

"Hey baby." he kissed my lips.

"Hello baby girl." He took Mia from my arms. I bent down to get Luis. "What's up lil man." he grabbed Luis in his other arm.

"Ronnie! Hey little brother." Lina came out of the kitchen.

"What's up Lina. How you been?"
