"crap, i did it again." I thought while walking back to the apartment, the dog following slowly behind me wagging its tail. aunt Kay is going to kill me, i'm dead so frigging dead. i slowed my steps when the apartment came into view dragging my feet as much as possible.
not being able to stall any longer i take a deep breath and opened the door to my apartment, and walked in the dog following right behind me. The dog walked over to the table and layed down.
i walked into the kitchen where aunt Kay was cooking, "is that spaghetti?" i asked puzzled, Kay never cooks and i mean never. she turned around, " yes it is " she smiled. then she noticed the dog standing right behind me. " oh god! not again Sam, please tell me you did not save that thing" Kay asked panic written all over her face. oh crap i thought this is so not going to end well.
there was no use lying to Kay, she was a empath and she would know if i did, then it would be a lot worse. "it got hit by a car aunt Kay, i couldn't just stand there and let it die. and no one was watching."
Kay glared at me but i saw the fear in her eyes, i know she's upset. i knew i wasn't supposed to use my gifts out in public, it is way to risky for my kind to chance being seen, The last time a abnormality was seen using there talent without a handler present, they got gunned down by the police for being a rogue. After the war between humans and abnormalities 100 years ago, the abnorms were stripped of there rights as humans and were treated like animals and sold like slaves, and abnorms without handlers were killed on the spot.
