"Sam this has got to stop! you cant keep doing this, one of these days someone is going to see you and.." her voice broke she didn't finish what she was saying, but she didn't have to. "and then ill die" i finished for her. i looked up at Kay and she was crying, "i cant loose you too Sam." i flinched, "don't bring my father into this Kay, Dave was stupid and he got caught for his mistake, he shouldn't have helped the resistance smuggle out those abnorms, food and supply is one thing, people is another story!" i shouted at her.
Kay rubbed her hands over her face and sighed, her shoulders sagged as she turned around and started spooning spaghetti into to wooden bowls. she placed them on the table and finally glanced at me, "dos that thing have a name?" she asked. i smiled and accepted the peace offering. "yes his name is Skye" i said while walking over to the dog and petting its massive head. Kay walked slowly over to it and gently scratched its ears. " its huge Sam what are we going to do with it? and what kind of dog is it anyway?" she asked with one eyebrow raised. "i cant afford to feed a dog that big Sam not on my own" i looked up at her and sighed. "its a great Dane aunt Kay and you wont have to, ill be working double shifts from now on at the chin diner, mister Chang fired another waitress today, ill be covering her shift as well as mine." Kay snorted with disgust. "that man is going to lose is diner unless he put a leash on his sons. he cant keep firing every waitress that those boys sleep with he will run out of wait staff." i coughed covering up the giggles that slipped out. Kay didn't notice, she kept on talking "he cant control his sons anymore they are out of control, just the other day i was talking to Glenda and she said..." the fake cough turned into a real one, i felt something wet trickle down my nose and i wiped it off, glancing down at my hand, i saw blood covering the top of my fingers right before i doubled over in pain. it was so intense, i didn't even hear Kay shouting my name as i hit the floor.
