The Girl He Never Noticed

Chapter 1-Moving

Bethany's POV
I walk over to the other side of her bed and put my hand on her shoulder. "I'm sorry but I need to move with my step cousin!" I said softly to her. "Who's your step cousin?" Kayla asked with puffy eyes. "Dunno." I replied truthfully.

She forced a smile before letting herself sob loudly. "Kayla," I start. "Kayla listen." I command as she turns to look at me slowly. "I'm just moving a few blocks from you, not a whole state!" I exclaim.

She nods and looks at me. "Your right, I don't really know why I'm crying." She wipes some tears off her face and smiled at me.

I returned the smile. Uh awkward silence. I hate silence. "Sweetie its time to go!" My mom cut the silence. "Okay mom!" I yelled. "Bye Kay!" I said and hugged her.

"Where are your parents gonna stay?" She asked as I was heading towards the door. "Uh at my house." I replied as she gave me a confused face. I sighed.

"Okay, my parents are really low, and the only option is for me to move in with my step cousin." I state.

She nodded and hugged me. "See you tomorrow." She said before I left.

We're currently in the car. We just got in and were driving to my step cousins house. I think that they live near the school, but I'm not sure.

There house is not that far from our house but it still is a little far.

I unload the last suit case and ran towards the door.

"Bethany! Bethany!" A young lady called my name. "Hi." I replied as she crushed me into a hug. "It's so nice to meet you!" She said. I smiled at her.

A young man approached her. "Wow, sorry I should have introduced myself and my husband first." She said, putting an arm around her husband.

"I am your step aunt, Maria." She started. "And this is my husband, George." He waved at me and I waved back. "We also have a son your age, he....he'll see you tomorrow. He's probably in a bad mood."

I nodded. "I understand." "Well, let me show you to your room." She said and walked down the hall. "This is your room." She pointed to a room next to another room with a 'Do Not Enter' sign on the door.

I hope that's not there sons room, its next to mine! "Thank you Maria." I said. "Oh no, no need to call me Maria, please call me Aunt Maria!" She exclaimed.

"Okay." I said. "Well." She clasped her hands together. "I'll let you pack, see you in a bit." She said as I nodded and she walked out.

Uh, so much to unpack! I started by unpacking my clothes into my closet. "Who's here?" A deep and husky voice said behind me.

I turned around. OMG OMG!!!!!! Summer Collins is standing in front of me. He now has the same last name as me, and nobody knows until tomorrow because we were on break and that's when my last name changed.

"Uh Hi?" I said. "Who are you?!?" He snapped. "I'm Bethany." I said confidentiality. He rolled his eyes. "Your not related." He replied.

"Yes I am." I snapped back. He raised an eyebrow. "And exactly how?" He asked leaning in closer to me. "Let's see I'm your step cousin, and I'll be living with you." I state.

I stand up. Woow! He's probably taller then a door! He's not though. "Interesting." He said. "Well bye." I shut the door on his face.

This is gonna be bad.
