So we didn't know this at the time, but apparently Kali's kidnapper was aware that we were following him. He didn't know that Jamie was with me, but you'll hear the rest of that later on.
We were approximately 2 miles behind him and knew that we were about to run out of gas. But it was just our luck that he pulled over at a Walmart and was shoplifting. So the store called the cops, but he got away. We were still on his tail, and so were the cops. Jamie knew one of the cops in the chase, so she called him and told him that Kali was in the car he was driving. So her friend, Dave, said that he would frequently update us with any news and that he was still hot on Kali's tail.
