My alarm goes off. It's Saturday. It's Saturday damn it! I jump out of bed. I look in the mirror. "Scary." I say to myself. I grab my phone, turn on my Bluetooth speaker, and I play Good Kisser. I dance my way to my bathroom and I grab my tooth brush. I do the rest of my hygienic routine times 100. My perfume was sprayed on so heavily that it lingered behind me like a scented shadow.

"What's the occasion?" My mother says grinning. I smile and say, "My friend is coming to pick me up and we are going to hang out." I kept the words "boy, guy, and his" out of the conversation. I know my mama, and  anything dealing with men and boys (outside of family)  she will flip her damn lid. "Oh, Ok. Just make sure that you're home by 10:30." "Um. 10:30? I've never been out that late." I think to myself. It's only 12:00 in the afternoon right now. I might as well practice how its going to go at Ty's house. I like that nickname... "Ty."

As I was practicing, my phone starts to ring. "My Best Friend Marie." "Hello?" I say. "Just wanted to tell you to have a fun time at Tyler's. You better tell me EVERYTHING!" Marie says laughing  loudly. "Okay." I say. "I'm not going to hold you up It's 1:00 right now!" Marie says. I look at the clock and run downstairs. "Bye girl. Wish me luck." I say to Marie before hanging up. "This is really happening." I say. The door bell rings and my heart drops right to my stomach.

I'll get it, mom!" I scream. I had to hurry up and get to the door before she did. We all know we don't want that. "Hey there beautiful. Your chariot awaits."  Tyler says bowing at the door. I giggled and then realized my mother could possible hear him. "Let's get going." I say. I hope he didn't think I was rushing him. I just didn't want my mama coming out here swinging pots and pans. "So... how far away is your house?" I ask looking out the tented windows. "It doesn't matter as long as I'm with you." Tyler says reaching and grabbing my hand.

Finally, we made it to Tyler's  house. "Oh my god! It's beautiful." I gasp. I had to admit his house was beautiful. "Really? It's nothing to me. Just a place where I eat and lay my head." Tyler says shrugging his shoulders. This boy has a pool, a basket ball court, and a maid... A MAID! The car comes to a complete stop right in front of the beautiful house. Tyler jumps out the car to run and open my door. Still, I'm in utter shock at how fancy this boy is currently living. "Right this way." He says grabbing my hand and leading me to the front door to his "Mansion."

"Mom! I'm home!" Tyler screams through the house. His deep voice echoed throughout the whole house. I'm still amazed. "The inside is bigger than the outside." I say holding on to his bicep. "Wait until you see my room." He says grinning down at me. I study his beautiful eyes and his gorgeous smile. The way those things were beaming down on me made it hard to stand. "Damn." I say to myself. The spiraling staircase added suspense to the infamous "room" Tyler was telling me about. I didn't know whether to be scared or turned on.

We stand in front of the door. On the door it says, "Tyler's Room." I ask. " Why do you have a sign on the door?" He whispers, " If you don't knock, you might see something that will change your life." My mouth instantly drops to the floor. He opened the door and I'm speechless. Usually, a teenage boy's room is littered with empty lotion bottles and tissues, but his room was very clean. "So." Tyler says standing in the middle of his room. "Mm its okay I guess." I say walking deeper into the room. Tyler just chuckles and closes and locks the door behind him.

*after the visit*

I throw myself on my bed. "Wow." I say. Nothing really happened at Tyler's if that's what you're wondering. He's just a REALLY good kisser. Yes, I am still  the Virgin Mary. I called Marie to tell her what happened. The phone didn't even ring one time, and as soon as she answered, "Ya'll did it. Didn't you?! Marie screams in the phone. "Well hello to you too, Marie." I say laughing. "No actually we didn't do it. He isn't like that I think." I say to Marie. "Well ya'll at least kissed right?" she says. "Yea, I loved his lips, girl." I say closing my eyes daydreaming.

"Jesus. She is amazing. I think... I think... I think I'm in love with her." Tyler says to himself. "This has to be some kind of game my heart is playing on my, or maybe it isn't. I do love her. She is the most beautiful girl I've ever met. Valentine's Day is coming up. I have to show her. Tyler says as he turns over and goes to sleep.

When Marie came over the next day, I explained more about my day out, but then I started thinking. "Maybe I'm in love." I figured that I shook this thought out of my head, but it came back. "What if I am in love with Tyler? I mean its not a bad thing. I just don't know if I'm wasting my time with this or not. Obviously, a boy like that can never love a girl like me. It just seems too good to be true." I say to myself. As Marie goes on and on about how we should have done it, I continued thinking. "I'm in love with Tyler Wake." I honestly fear to see how Marie will act when I tell her. I gotta do, what I gotta do.

"I can't believe you're even telling me this, DE!" Marie says falling dramatically on my bed. "Well, its not entirely my fault that I love him. If he was the total ass that only wants one thing, I probably would have second guessed myself."  I say trying to drop the whole conversation.  "Valentine's Day is in 6 days girl!" Marie gasps. "Yeah, I know. So what?" I say shrugging my shoulders. "Oh my God!" I say as soon as I understood. "If he loves you like you think he does, he will go all out on Valentine's Day." Marie says. I just smile and fall on my bed next to her.

My phone rings. It's Tyler. My heart skips a beat and my hands start to sweat. "Hey Beautiful, I know its late, but I just wanted to say that um... I think I'm in love with you, and I'm going to show you how much I love you this Saturday. Anyways, sleep tight, my love. Ill see you tomorrow." I drop the phone and look at Marie with my mouth gaped open. I slowly begin to cry. You can tell that the warmth from the tears were of excitement as the slowly slid down my cheek.
