-Italy-

Germany and I arrived at a picnic area. We didn't bring food, because we'd just eaten, instead we walked around holding hands. Hand in hand, Germany and I watch regular human couples as we walked. I couldn't help but wonder, why couldn't I have something like a regular person?

I looked over to Germany, who was taking a deep breath. "Germany, what are you thinking about?" I asked. He slightly smiled at me.

"Eh, things are the same but different. Do you understand what I'm saying?" he said, in a voice that sounded bored and detached.

"Between us. It seems like after the whole issue with my brother, we've grown apart. But..." I said, surprised at how I could just say what was on my mind.

"We've admitted our feelings because of what happened." he finished.

"Yeah." I said.

"Germany, I don't want you to be mad for what I did." I said.

"It is okay. I'm not mad anymore. I just want to take things the right way, slowly." he said.

I stopped, "Germany...we've been slow with our feelings for centuries. Can't you loosen up?"

"Italy, I have a hard time without a guide or instructions. I've never been relaxed, not for ages." he said. I looked at him.

"Why not? You were so fun back then, when we were kids." I questioned.

He nodded, "Ja, I know. Things changed when I almost lost you."

I couldn't move. I was arguing with Germany, over our relationship. My chest was burning and I felt like crying. All these feelings were stirring and I couldn't figure anything out.

"The last time I saw you..." I muttered. He stopped being carefree the last time I saw him as Holy Rome.

"Ich liebe dich, mein Italien" Germany said, pulling me into his arms. I let the tears fall and land on his jacket. I didn't want to move from his arms. I looked up, into his soft blue eyes, knowing this is who I  was meant for.

I leaned close to him, letting our lips touch for the first time. To my surprise he kissed back, holding me in place as we stood in the middle of a park. I stopped, wanting to see what he'd say. He looked at me, flustered and looking to see if anyone had seen him kiss me in public.

"Ti amo, Germany." I said.

"Italy, I love you more than anything." he said, kissing my cheek.

I smiled, today was going well. I couldn't help but notice that something was bothering him. I grabbed his hand and we began to walk again. Finally I'd had enough of his weirdness, he still seemed like he was hiding something.

"Germany? You not hiding something are you?" I asked.

He lightly laughed, "I'm that easy to read?"

I shook my head, "What is bugging you? Its not the kiss is it?"

"No, it's personal." he said, shifting his eyes away from me.

"We're a couple, so if something is bothering you, tell me." I said.

"Fine, it's mien bruder. Hungary has been feeling nauseated lately. And he wants to act like it is no big deal, but we all know what is happening, right." he said.

I looked at him, unable to believe my ears. "Hungary...is...having a baby?"

"Ja, and you can't tell her you know." he said.

"How long is she? And how long have you known?" I asked, still in shock.

He sighed, "Prussia came over and he told me it started a few weeks ago. This was before you came back to mien house."
