The Floppdoo Cafe

I walked into my regular cafe, ready to order my regular coffee when I saw him. My crush from high school, and my closest friend. After school we drifted apart, but he was standing right in front of me, but facing away. I covered my face and ran to the counter. After my embarrassing display, I can't stand to face him, let alone be near him. I reach the counter and the barista gives me a funny look. What could I say? I just ran from one end of the cafe to the other. I just ordered my coffee like there was nothing wrong. She gave me my cup and I turned to go leave and go to work. I bumped into a tall person standing right behind me and spilled my coffee all over him. He raised his arms and gasped.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't see you there! Let me help you..." Then I looked up. "Adam?"

"Don't be sorry, it was my fault." He said. "And... How do you know my name?"

"Adam, it's me. Remember? Although, you might not recognize me without the braces and short hair. We were best friends in high school?" I say, hoping to get a reaction.

*gasp*"(Y/N)? Is it really you? I haven't seen you in years! We have so much catching up to do. Are you in a rush?" He says with excitement.

"Yes, actually," I sighed with disappointment. "I have to go to work."

"Let me drive you!" He shouted. Suddenly the whole cafe went silent. I felt my cheeks fill with heat.

"Let's talk some more outside" I whispered. I practically pushed him until we were out of ears way. "I would love to take a drive with you." I said, smiling all through my sentence. Finally, a chance to catch up with my friend, crush and now, my taxi driver.
