CH. 3 Neon Days

Erynn's work was amazing. The room was tiny on the outside but it was massive inside. The whole room was black with neon outlining the edges. Erynn looked at me and smiled. "What do you think?" she asked. "It's.. It's a-amazing!" I was lost for words.

Erynn's POV
He looked so amazed. I didn't think it was that good but apparently it was. "So what do you do? It kinda looks like a battle field" he asked. "That's coz it is. If I press the green button it starts the match after two people choose different teams. Wanna have a go?" I really wanted him to say yes and it looked like he was about too but then Charlie walked in smiling.

"Hey Aru! Hi Erynn" she said. Something told me that she didn't want me to be around Aru but that wasn't going to happen. "So what are you guys up too?". " We were about to play a round of Neon Days but then you walked in" I replied harshly. "Fancy a third player?". "Make that four! Wait five!" Leo shouted from outside. He walked in with Ben and seconds later Alex walked in. "Girls vs. Boys?" Alex asked. "Sounds good to me, we'll do one life, no time limit and last team standing. What colour do you wanna be?" I said. "We'll go black" Leo said instantly. "Then we'll go white. Everyone ready? Aru the guys will explain the rules and stuff, okay. Let's begin!"

Aru's POV
Erynn's hand smashed down on the green button and then my body exploded and then reanimated instantly and I was standing on a black platform with white neon outlining the edges. "What just happened!?" I yelled. "Oi! Shhh! You were just teleported, one of Erynn's inventions. Basically it turns you into particles and then reforms you in a different area" Ben half whispered half shouted. "Okay so how do I play?" I asked. "Okay basically, you know how you zoom in on a picture on a phone? Do that in front of your face and then pick a class". I moved my fingers and a menu opened up with selections. There were 5 classes;

Agility- Focuses on quick dashes and quick firing guns at a cost of low damage.

Brute- High damage output and defense at a cost of very low mobility

Sniper- High damage from further away, low damage close range. Camouflage active when still for 30 seconds.

Assassin- Extreme damage from close range, footsteps are silent.Very short range.

Soldier- Mid range firing rifles, good all rounding class.

"I'll go Agility class" I said. "Then I'll go soldier and Ben you should go Assassin" Leo said. I tapped the hologram and then a black suit appeared on my body. "Ok so do I have abilities or something?" I asked. "You can dash by thinking about it during a run" Ben said. "And I'm pretty sure you know how to fire a weapon" Leo added. "One more thing.. Why is it called Neon Days?" "Well the shortest game we played lasted about 6 hours. The longest went for 2 days but that was proper rounds this is just a basic one. Alright lets go!"

Leo said that I should scout ahead whilst he covered my behind from about 30 metres away. Ben had found a way to get up on a ledge on walk on a layer above us. We walked for about 5 minutes and then I heard some girls. "I will not hesitate to throw you out of the Club!!". It sounded like Erynn. I stopped and waited for Leo to catch up. Ben jumped down and then started typing something, he showed it to me and then Leo.

Ben: All three girls are waiting around the corner. And they're arguing about something, I say this is a chance to get all 3 of them. I will attack from above Leo go from behind and Aru come from the front.

We nodded and then got into position. Ben gave a signal that both Leo and I could see. 3.. 2.. 1.. We walked around and fired and Ben jumped down with a knife and took out Alex. Charlie fired at Ben and took him out. She was a Brute. Erynn dashed and dodged most of my bullets and we ended up in a firefight whilst Leo tried to take on Charlie. I dashed to the side and threw a knife and it hit Erynn right in the heart. She exploded into particles and was no longer in the game. The knife fell from where it was and I dashed to catch it and then threw it at Charlie. She turned but couldn't dodge in time, Leo started firing and then Charlie exploded into particles and disappeared. A big WINNER sign flashed in different colours and then Leo and I were teleported back to reality.
