Bri's P.O.V.
When the bell rang, signaling that it was finally time for lunch, I threw on my back pack, and my new friend, Shawn, and I darted out of our 4th period to head to lunch.
Shawn's full name was Shawn Mendes. Shawn and I had started talking in Science and I asked him if he "Knew Hayes or Riley?", and his reply was,
"I know Hayes, him and I aren't particularly friends, and I do know Riley, she's my girlfriend!" He chuckled.
Shawn was really nice and funny and I was super glad that Riley had him. Shawn and I talked the whole period and he told me that he worked at Starbucks as a barista. Shawn liked to sing and he told me funny stories about him and Riley, while we worked on our science project.

"So, your little friend Hayes, is he being nice to you?" Shawn questioned, as he held the lunch room door open for me.
"Oh, yeah, Hayes is totally cool. He was really nice from the get go." I said beaming.
"That's really good that you've met someone that's nice, but, I would watch out, he's the school player. Im not trying to scare you away, but I'm just looking out for you, Bri. He'll break your heart and I don't want you to get hurt." Shawn said, looking down at me with concerned eyes.
"Shawn, Hayes doesn't seem like that. He's a nice guy, and besides, whoever said I was gonna fall in love with the kid." I stated, smirking at Shawn as we walked up to Riley and a few of her friends who were sitting at the lunch table.
"Everything is not what it seems, Bri." He mumbled, smiling at Riley, and sitting down.
Riley and I were talking and she introduced me to some of her friends as I sat down.
" and I see that you've met Shawn, already." Riley said, looking at Shawn with googley eyes.
"Hey, do you wanna go get lunch? I'm starving!" I asked Riley.
"Yeah, c'mon Shawn, were going to get lunch." Her and Shawn's hands connected and we all walked over to the lunch line.
When we were standing in line, a pair of hands covered my eyes. I tensed a bit.
"Guess who?" A voice said, which I immediately recognized, relaxing a little.
"Hayes?" I questioned, peeling his hands away and spinning around.
"Awe, how'd you know?" He asked, chuckling.
"Lucky guess." I said smiling.
"Whatcha getting for lunch?" He questioned, his blue eyes staring into mine.
"Just a salad. I dont think I told you, but I'm a vegetarian." I said, biting my lip.
"Oh! No, you didn't tell me that." He said, looking shocked.
Hayes and I continued to talk about me being vegetarian, but, the whole time I felt as if someone was staring at me. I shook I off and giggled at Hayes joke.
Maybe I'm going crazy, but I feel like I have a connection with him.
As Hayes and I exited the line before Riley and Shawn, he smiled at me and invited to sit with him.
"Oh, I can't. Riley and Shawn asked me to sit with them." I said.
Hayes smile dropped and he looked a little mad.
"Oh, okay. Have fun sitting with Shawn." He said, and plastered on a fake smile, that was actually quite scary.
The way Hayes said it made chills roll down my back. I wonder why they don't like each other so much?
I spun around and sat down between Riley and her friend, I think his name was Jack Glinsky, or something like that.

It had reached the end of 7th period and Hayes and I exited our Computers class.
"Hey, I'm having a party this weekend. You should definitely come." He said grinning.
"Oh, um, I-I- I can't. I have to unpack some of my things still." I said looking down.
"Oh, okay. Well, just think about it. I wouldn't want you to be lonely this weekend. Alright?" He asked, making the cutest puppy dog face I've ever seen.
I blushed, "Okay, I'll think about it."
He pumped his fist up in the air, which made me giggle, and he opened the door for me, as we stepped out into the parking lot.
Everyone was swarming to get to their cars. I spotted mine and walked towards it, waving goodbye to Hayes.
I unlocked my car and stepped inside, slamming the door shut and tossing my bag into the passenger seat, and starting the engine.
I was about to back out, when I saw someone running up to my car. Hayes?
"Hey, I just remembered, I don't have your number." He said, jogging up to my window.
"Oh, one sec." I said. I grabbed my iPhone from my back pocket and unlocked it. We swapped phones and put in one another's number in.
I smiled and handed his phone back.
"Thanks!" He said.
"No problem. Text me later." I said and he nodded. He walked away to his car and I pulled out of the parking lot and drove home.
****
"I'm home!" I yelled as I opened my front door.
There was no answer. I guess mom isn't home yet.
I threw my keys on the table and walked into the kitchen. I grabbed an AriZona sweet tea from the fridge.
I jogged upstairs and into my room. I threw my back pack on my bed and pulled out my phone, setting down my tea on my night stand.
I had a 3 texts from "Hayes Sexy Grier ;)"
H: Hey. It's Hayes!
H: Wait, you knew that. Lol. Nvm.
H: I'm so dumb.
I immediately texted Hayes back.
B: Hey, sorry for the delay. Lol, you're not dumb.
H: Okay, um, I'll text you later. I have to get ready for football practice. ;)
B: Okay. I have to do my homework and study. Tyl. (Text You Later)
I Bluetoothed my phone to my speaker and opened up my playlist. I sang to the music and flopped on my bed.
****
I decided after 15 minutes of procrastinating, that it was time to finally do my homework.
I had been assigned homework for Math and Advanced Civics.
After about an hour, I was almost done with my homework, when I heard my phone go off.
I turned off my music and opened up the text. It was from a private number.
Watch your back. I'm coming for ya, babe. ;)
Hey guys! I really hope you liked this new chapter. I'll be uploading a new chapter soon! Thank you so much for all the support. ❤
