Bri's P.O.V.

Yesterday, when Hayes left, I called my mom and she said that she would actually have to stay longer in Canada. She said she was "going to be gone for a month". I just shook it off.

My mom was always gone. She never has time for me so I guess I'm just used to it.

The next day I woke up about 5 minutes before my alarm went off.

I pulled the warm covers off of my body and stumbled out of my bed and over to my alarm clock.

I rubbed my eyes and shut my alarm off.

I got up and went to the bathroom to take a shower.

I grabbed my towel and set it on the counter, turning on the water and waiting for it to get warm.

I stepped inside the shower and slid the door shut.

After I finished, I walked over to my dresser.
I grabbed my undergarments and walked over to my closet.

I unlocked my phone and checked the weather.

It was supposed to be about 55 degrees out so I decided I would wear some black leggings, my light brown Uggs, a slightly oversized sweater from Areopostále, and an infinity scarf.

I quickly got dressed and went to my bathroom.

I blow dryed my hair and once I was done, I curled it.

I swiftly did my usual make up and then walked downstairs.

I was standing in front of the pantry trying to decide what I wanted for breakfast when I heard a knock at the door.

I jogged over to my front door and opened it, not bothering to check who it was.

As soon as I did, the cool wind hit my face and I looked up, seeing Hayes.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"I wanted to come over and see if you were coming to school or, if you were too 'scared' to." Hayes said, chuckling.

"As you can see, I am dressed, and ready for school. Like I said, Hayes, you don't need to treat me like I'm five." I laughed.

"Okay, but when you sike yourself out, don't come crying to me." He said, his blue eyes looking down on me.

"Will do.", I said, "Would you like to come in?"

"Yeah, sure."

Hayes stepped inside and followed me like a lost puppy to the kitchen.

He pulled up a stool and sat down at the bar.

I walked over to my pantry once again, and stood in front of it.

After awhile I decided on a blueberry bagel and some strawberry cream cheese.

I plopped the bagel in the toaster and pulled out a plate and butter knife.

"Ew. What the hell? You like that stuff?" Hayes questioned, scrunching up his face.

"What? The bagel and cream cheese?" I asked.

He nodded.

"Oh my goodness, it tastes so good. I cannot believe you dont like it." I said.

"Nah, it's gross." Hayes said.

Just then, my bagel popped up, and it was burnt.

I looked at Hayes and he burst out laughing.

"Good job, Hayes. You burnt my bagel." I said giggling.
