-Chapter 8-
Perched under the tree, Claire had finally found a place to hide. A peaceful place of which she could recollect her thoughts and dive head first into a sea full of books and delightful pages to drown in.The book was old and heavy, the leather felt soft and delicate as she ran his fingers over the faded blue bindings. She fingered the gold lettering carefully before she opened the cover, paper rustled as she thumbed through the book to find previous page she was on. Words appeared and disappeared as her eyes flitted across the pages, quickly reading sentences to see if she was at her previous part, from the jumble of sentences that littered the world she had become immersed in. She finally found her page and nestled into the tree. It was the kind of day even a feather would fall without drifting one way or the other. The grass was straight and silent, the leaves dangled more as if they had been painted there. Should a person be able to feel the beating of the birds' wings - that would have been the only breeze. It was still, utterly still. The silence and peace was viciously assaulted as the raging voices of her Bullies came towards her. Could they never leave her alone? Remus hated all of this, he had began to sooth her wounds after everything happened, and tutored her in lessons which she was missing. He wanted them to see what they were missing, he tried to talk them out of bullying her but they didn't listen. Not to a bookworm like him.
Claire huffed in annoyance and stood pulling her tattered satchel up beside her and onto her shoulder, she was not in the mood for this today. After her talk with Dumbledore she felt as though she needed a break. "If there is ever any help you need, I shall always be here." She recalled his words in her head and knew that she couldn't talk to him. She would just get even more hate. So instead she walked father towards the school, near the entrance and sat on a small bench. The rest of the boys got settled in Claire's previous spit, while Sirius rushed after her, he didn't know why he did it, he followed her. Sirius stops in front of her and says, "What do you think you are doing here? Huh?" But doesn't take her eyes off the book in her hand and pretends that nobody is around her. He doesn't like her attitude; he snatches the book from her hand and throws it away. "I'm talking to you," he says. She still don't look at him because she is so tired of having people beating her up. "Get up," he says pulling Claire up from the bench grabbing the hem of her t-shirt. Before she can get on my feet properly she feels his hard fist collide with her face. She fell on the ground, and her hand doesn't go to her face to cover her bloody nose rather it goes to my back to check if her shirt has risen to reveal her terrible scars. His hand grasps her throat and a deep chuckle leaves his throat, as her vision goes dark and everything goes black. It took him seconds to register what he was doing as a recognisable woman ran towards him "Let go of my Daughter!" Yet he too began to faint, he was not controlling himself. He couldn't control himself.
