Chris Chamber's Fanfic-"Chamber's Kid"

Chapter 1

Today was the big day, your first day of junior high. You woke up to the sound of your alarm clock and quickly got out of bed. It was 6 am sharp which meant you had exactly an hour to get ready. You had just moved to Castle Rock earlier that week and you didn't want to be late on your very first day at your new school. You quickly rummaged through your unpacked boxes and found your favorite outfit. You brushed through your hair and were ready to go. You ran downstairs into the kitchen to find that your mom wasn't there waiting for you. You noticed a piece of paper on the table and you picked it up. 

It read, 'I'm so sorry I couldn't be here on your first day of junior high! I got called into work early and couldn't be late. You'll have to walk to school today, its right next to the grocery store we went to yesterday. Hopefully you remember how to get there, it's not that far. If you need any help be sure to ask someone around. I'll be home to pick you up. Have a great day honey. -Mom' 

You put the note in your pocket and made yourself a bowl of cereal. You weren't surprised your mom wasn't home because ever since you moved to Castle Rock your mom had been busy with her new job. You finished your breakfast quickly and put your bowl in the sink. You then raced up to your bathroom to brush your teeth. You slipped on your shoes and picked up your bag filled with the supplies you had bought the night before. You then checked the clock to see that it was 6:30, you decided to leave a little bit early just incase you get lost.
