Chris Chamber's Fanfic-"Chamber's Kid"

Chapter 11

"It was nothing, forget it. Come on, let's just get out of here and go have fun like I promised." He said, trying to change the subject. 

"No Chris, I'm staying right here until you tell me what happened." You said somewhat firmly. 

After a short pause, Chris sighed and spoke up. "Well... I was walkin' through town, ya know, minding my own business when Ace and Eyeball ganged up on me. Ace and I got into a little fight but don't worry about it, I'm fine." He said very flustered.

"Wasn't that the boy who took my lunch money at school?" You said, remembering the name, Ace. 

"Yeah, yeah... What an asshole." Chris said. You looked up at him and saw that his nose was still bleeding. 

"Here Chris, you should tilt your head back and hold your nose, it'll stop the bleeding." You said trying to help him. Then there was a moment of silence.

"I'm sorry, Cassy." He blurted out of nowhere. "I'm just so sorry about tonight, I ruined what was supposed to be a good time. I feel horrible for keeping you waiting and all..." He added.

"Chris it's okay, I'm just glad you're not hurt to seriously. And it's not your fault, I understand." You said, as you nuzzled closer to him. You could tell he was in so much pain but he didn't want to show it. 

"Come on Chris, let's forget dinner. Why don't we go to my place to get you cleaned up." You suggested and Chris nodded in agreement. 

You both climbed out of the treehouse and stared to walk toward your house. Within 10 minutes, you were there. When you opened the front door, your mom still wasn't home. You lead Chris into the bathroom and wet a rag. You gave it to him so he could wipe the blood off of his face. You watched as he lightly dabbed his swollen eye and bloodied nose, but now the bleeding had stopped. After he cleaned off his face, he washed his dusty knuckles and you both walked out of the bathroom. 

"Do you need anything else, Chris? Does anything hurt?" You asked, still worried. 

"Cassy, I'm fine. Don't worry about me." He said.
