harry remembers the day he got married. he was a mess, pacing back and forth. his parents had arranged this marriage since they began dating, they were so grossly in love, that everyone believed they'd last. but harry - harry wanted a different future. he wanted reality to kick his ass and show him what was right and what was wrong. he wanted answers.

what kind of answers? answers to questions such as what am i doing? do i really love her? was a high school fling supposed to end up in this situation? he remembers pacing in the back room with uncertainty dressed his body as he shook in fear. was he ready?

the answer was no. because his marriage is shit and he wasn't happy at all with her, not during the moment they stepped down from the altar. harry knew he made a mistake as they got off the plane to their honeymoon. oh, how he wished he ran from his own wedding. but then again, if he didn't, he probably wouldn't have ever met niall.

harry smiles when the thought of niall pops in his mind. how they met. how they started. taylor and harry were just moving into the new large house in england, and they were up all night and siri gave him directions to a little coffee hut on the corner of their town. he drove down and parked, hopping out of his car.

a little bell rang as he walked in, it was warm and smelled like amazing coffee. he remembers how he looked at the menu a little too long and an irish voice averted his gaze. harry smiled, imaging how niall looked that day. his hair was flattened, nice blue jeans, jogging sneakers, a sweater that was too big covered his hands. he loved that outfit on niall.

"excuse me? i don't mean to be rude, but are you in line?" the voice startled harry, he jumped on his feet a little before turning to look at the source of the voice.

a blonde boy with big blue eyes stood in front of him, and he'd forgotten his own name for a few moments, captivated by the beauty of the placid skinned stranger. "um, not yet, sorry, i'm just looking. i'm new here. just wanted coffee." harry stepped aside.

but neither male broke eye contact. "oh it's okay. if you'd like, i could show you around sometime. i'm just here to put in a job application. so if i get the job, i'd happily serve you." the boy giggled, and it was one that brought a large smile to his lips. he really hasn't felt this happy in --- two years.

harry turned his body back towards the blonde, chewing his lip. "i'd really like that. i haven't felt this happy about talking to someone in a while." he admits, watching a blush creep onto the pale cheeks. "i'm sorry if that was a little strong, but it's true. my wife doesn't seem to be the one i've been destined to be with." he adds, and the others' expression drops.

"sorry, i-i just...i married young. i'm kind of just spilling all my secrets aren't i? 'm sorry." harry looked down, before the boy walked closer.

"no, no. it's okay. i understand. i'm niall." he responded, smiling large. "harry." the brunette smiled back, as a oddly comfortable silence is cast over them. then niall piped back up. "but - have you given your marriage a chance?" and harry laughs softly. "it's been two years." he murmurs back.

niall closes his mouth. "oh, i'm sorry." harry shakes his head. "it's okay. i was thinking about seeing other people. it's horrible but, i don't think she loves me much either. we're living in two separate worlds, but i---it's very confusing. it's--"

"complicated?" niall finished, and harry nodded. "complicated."

harry remembered how they sat down together and talked for what felt like hours, how they connected over one cup of coffee and how they seemed to be so happy in their own little world. niall and harry met a year ago. they started meeting more frequently when they both admitted feelings after a few months. harry couldn't of imagined a first kiss any more perfect than it was with niall. he couldn't imagine being without niall since they met.

now - harry lays in bed, thinking about his choices over the past few years. he regrets nothing, besides sleeping next to the person that wasn't his blonde baby boy. harry sighs, sitting up and turning to look at his wife, sleeping soundly. he sat up, grabbing his  clothes and pulling them on. he looked to his watch, 10:02 p.m.

"taylor." he whispered, shaking her body. "i have to head into work, they've officially switched my hours to late night." upon my request, harry thought. taylor nodded and pecked his cheek, before saying goodnight, but harry was already walking out of the door.

harry arrives at niall's hotel room, flowers in hand, nando's in the other. the door flew open immediately, being greeted by big blue eyes, the ones he loved gazing in so much. they couldn't ever compare to taylor's dark ones. niall's were so soft and beautiful, just like his skin. "harry..." niall smiled, heart skipping a few beats.

"hi love..." harry whispers back, walking in and kissing his nose. niall took the food and flowers, setting them down on the counter. the flowers were set in a vase of water, the food slowly being eaten by the two as they spoke softly.

after they cleaned their area, the two moved to the bed, curling up as harry worked -- on his laptop. "sorry, i actually have work to do, it won't take long, baby." he kisses niall, fingers tapping away on the keyboard.

"it's okay, as long as you're here, i'm happy." niall kisses his neck softly as harry works, smiling softly as he sighs and turns the television on, keeping the volume low so harry wasn't distracted. harry was re-evaluating some co-workers work and working on a presentation.

when niall got bored, he turned on the walking dead, staring in anticipation. "fuck-! lori!! you dumb bitch! you can't have a baby during the zombie apocalypse." niall grumbled oh so adorably, face scrunched in frustration.

harry smiled over at him, reaching over to cup his cheek. "so fuckin' cute, my baby boy is." he whispers, watching niall blush and giggle before smiling again and kissing him a few times. "i'm almost done."

"okay."

"okay?"

"stop." he pouted, trying to use the reference from a movie he'd cried seeing!

harry laughed softly. "god, i love you."

"i am not god, harold." niall huffed, shaking his head as he tried not to smile.

"niall, i love you."

"i love you, too!"
