epilogue
"daddy!" the little girl giggled, smiling and running from her father. they'd been playing hide and seek for hours it felt like, maybe it was because his muscles were screaming from all the running around. "hey, c'mon, it's time to calm down." he laughed, shaking his head.
"harry! lucy!" niall called out, smiling and watching his loves run into the kitchen. "it's time for lunch." he grinned, kissing the two loves on their foreheads. "dada! did you see daddy's new drawing?" lucy asked, looking from harry to niall. only lucy referred to tattoos as drawings. it was so adorable, so perfectly innocent. niall loved it so much.
"no, i did not," niall raises an eyebrow, harry rolling his eyes and standing. he lifted his shirt to show the bandage over his abdomen. "daddy, it's so pretty." lucy reassured, watching the bandage peel off to reveal a butterfly. niall's eyes widen. "a butterfly?" he asked, hand on his hip.
harry scowled. "lucy is our butterfly, and it covers the scar from the bullet." he explained, covering the fresh ink back up. the bullet had went clean through harry's body. niall's eyes soften, a smile finding his lips. "that was really cute, actually. now i feel bad for thinking it was so stupid at first." niall coos, walking closer and wrapping his arms around harry's neck.
a smirk found harry's lips, winking down at his husband. "yeah. i thought it was cute too." he sighed, pecking the soft lips he loved so much. lucy covered her eyes, giggling softly. "hungry!" the four year old exclaimed, pulling the couple apart and to the table to eat.
harry washed the dishes as niall sat lucy down to watch some disney movies. the male dried his hands as he smiled at the blonde and the girl, sighing softly. his gaze moved to the walls of their home, smiling and thinking of all the things they've been through.
the bigger male doesn't think he could ever thank niall enough for waiting so long for him to divorce taylor. niall waited so long. he was thankful, so thankful. he wouldn't be living the life he had now if niall didn't wait. and harry knows he's thought about breaking it off with him when times got tough and harry put off the mention of the divorce.
now they were happily married. and they were faithful.
harry walked over and sat beside his daughter, pulling her into his lap. "beauty and the beast?" he murmured into her hair, listening to her hum a response. "it's my favorite movie, daddy." she yawned, hopping off her father and grabbing a few of her toys to play with while watching.
niall scoot closer, nuzzling into his lovers neck. "i love you, so much." he whispered, pressing a few kisses to his jaw. harry mumbled the three words back, smiling ear to ear. they sat there, foreheads pressed together as they got lost in each other, giving eskimo kisses after a few moments.
a blush was apparent on both men's cheeks.
not that they'd admit they blush. maybe niall would.

"how did you and daddy meet?" lucy asked niall as he washed her hair, chuckling softly. "we'll tell you when you're older. it's a long story." he whispered, kissing her nose and grabbing a towel. "c'mon. out of tubbie." he smiled, wrapping her up in the towel and drying her up. "let's get into jammies and we can cuddle with daddy." he says, watching her trudge to her room, shutting her door.
