Chapter 8: The Promotion And The Figure

At the dinner table I sat down and ate my food slowly waiting for dad to tell us the news, after about 10 minutes he said something. "So today at work I got something today" he said "what did you get" mom said "a promotion" he said excited. "Oh honey that's great news" mom said getting up to hug him. We all said good job to him, then we sat back down to continue our dinner. The whole time art the dinner table we talked about dad's promotion.

After dinner I walked upstairs and took a shower, after the shower I headed to bed. I woke up in the middle of the night to Kitty growling at my door. I slowly got up and walked to the door. When I opened it Kitty ran out of my room and down the stairs. I quietly followed Kitty down the stairs.

I found her waiting for me at the back door, when she saw me she ran outside. I stopped real quick and grabbed a flashlight. When I turned the flashlight on I opened the back door. When I caught up with Kitty she was by the fence gate staring at something. I shined the flashlight to were she was looking and I saw a figure walked down the street.

I quickly turn off my flashlight and grabbed Kitty's color and dragged her back inside. I shut the door slowly and put the cover on the doggy door, I look behind me and see Cody staring at me. "What are you doing up this late" I whispered to him "I heard you walking around" he said yawning. I sighed and looked at him, I then heard a snap and notice my hair tie broke. I picked it up and put it in my pocket, "come on" whispered to Cody and took him up to his room.

I laid on my side on his bed stroking his hair, waiting till he falls asleep so I can go back to my room. Unlike me he just sits still when he sleeps when I do the opposite. I was trying to stay awake long enough for I wouldn't fall asleep, I was just thinking about the figure so that kept me up. I then got up slowly letting my hair fall over my shoulders, I left his room and went in mine. I let Kitty in my room and shut my door slowly and quietly.

I laid on my bed and looked at my phone "I haven't talked to Ally in a while" I thought as I pull the covers over me. I tossed and turned for the rest of the night, I just couldn't sleep even if I tried I wouldn't fall asleep. I eventually just sat up on my bed, I looked around my room and then I looked at my night stand. I reached over and grabbed the genie vase, again I rubbed on it and smoke started to come out but only to disappear again. I messed with the case for the rest of the night sense I couldn't sleep, Kitty just laid on the edge of the bed and slept away.
