I sat their in the chair next to the hospital bed, waiting for Mom to wake up. It's been almost three hours now, she should be up by now though "please wake up" I whispered. I stood up as Dad and Cody walked in the room staring at Mom in the bed. "She's still asleep" I said allowing Cody to sit on my lap "I see that" Dad said. I sighed and glanced at that giving him a worried look.
He sighed and looked at the ground "Grandma is here to take you guys home" he said giving me a hug. We walked side by side as we went to the elevator. I let Cody push the button to go down, I was in no mood to fight over the button. We never said a word as we listened to the elevator dinging as we went down. When it opened we walked out headed towards our grandma standing by the door.
I collapsed in her arms as she hugged me, I felt a tear go down my face, then I felt Cody hugging with us. I would usually push him away but right now I dot care. "Let's get going" Grandma said letting go and heading out the door. Cody nodded at her and turned at me "are you ok" he said "I'm fine" I said smiling. I put my arm around him and we walked out the doors together.
I let Cody let up front with Grandma, I sat in the way back of the van on the left side. I stared out the window the whole way home, listening to Grandma and cody's conversation. When she pulled up next our house I climbed out of the car and walked up to the house. I unlocked the door and opened it as I waiting for Cody to get in the house. Grandma gave me a look as if she was saying "are you going to be ok" I nodded at her and walked inside.
Me and Cody waved as she drove away from the house, I shut the door and locked it. "I'm going to be in my room, you should go play with Kitty" I said walking up the stairs. I reached the top step and look down to see him gone, I then heard the back door shut. I walked in my room and slammed the door as hard as I could. I then walked over and picked up the vase, I stared at it and felt the gold.
"I wish mom will be ok" I whispered so only the genie and can hear it, is their even a genie in here? I question myself as I set it down and walk out of my room. I walked downstairs and heard the back door closing, "already done playing" I asked Cody. He nodded his head, I was about to say something but then my phone started to ring.
