I looked out at the crowd in front of me. We were in London, our first stop on the world tour.
"It's so nice to be here tonight with such amazing fans, I never thought the band would get this far. I think you guys owe yourselves a round of applause. Go ahead clap for yourself, you deserve it."
I smiled as the fans whistled and cheered.
I sat down at the edge of the stage looking down at the first row of people pushing to touch me. Sadly, we had a big gap between us and them. An accident happened at one of the tour spots and Chase got pulled into the crowd and we had to fight the screaming girls to get him out.
I jumped down holding on to my mic and standing in the gap. "I do apologize for the gap between us and you. Maybe we'll fix that one day. Until then, I'm going to give as many people as I can high fives."
I sat the mic on the stage and ran down to the end of the row giving them high fives down to the end of the row. We have a stage in the middle of the crowd too so I ran down those rows laughing and smiling, stopping once in awhile to hug a few or tell them something.
Eventually Chase started a song without me since I was taking too long. I ran back to grab my mic when someone caught hold of the hood on my jacket. I instantly saw cameras fly up to record. I stood still and sang our saddest song that we ever wrote. It was special, since we never sang it live before.
"Do you think you could let go of my hood please?" I whispered to the person holding onto it.
She looked at me and nodded sadly as she let go. I gave her a hug though before bouncing back on stage.
