You woke up to the loud and disoriented strumming of strings.
You turned over and covered your head with your blanket. Although, that didn't really stop you from hearing the noise.
"This is more difficult than I thought it'd be." You heard, outside the door.
You shuffled out of your blanket and see Kevin leaning on the wall, fingers playing with the guitar's strings. He looked up at you and stopped, "Hey! Morning, Sunshine. Dean told me to tell you to call Castiel when you wake up."
You quickly grab your phone and dial Castiel's number. He answered within the first ring, "(Y/N)?"
"Hi, Cas." You smile at his voice, though he couldn't see it.
"Did you have a good time out with Kevin yesterday?" He asked.
"Yeah! It was a lot of fun. But I miss you." You said with pouted.
He chuckled, but his voice turned serious, "(Y/N), I'm afraid I won't be back for... a while longer."
Your eyes slightly widen to the news, "What? What do you mean you're not gonna be back!?"
Kevin looked up at you, eyes widened as well, "What?" He stood up, still holding the guitar in one hand, "Put him on speaker."
You put Castiel on speaker and wait for him to answer. Castiel sighs deeply, "Dean? Dean, explain to them, please." You heard slight shuffling and muffled talking in the background, along with static-y noises.
"(Y/N)? Kevin?" Dean's voice comes up.
"Yeah?" You and Kevin answer in unison.
"Hey. Guys, we're huntin' a couple of vampire nests, some demons, other things that I don't want to worry you two about. But I just want you two to be okay, okay? Just have fun, we could be home safe and sound." Dean tries to assure you.
"Well, I thought you guys could take on vampires and demons." You try to find out if they have anything to keep, you understand they don't want you completely in their 'Family Business' but, you should at least be able to know if they're actually going to be safe or not.
"We can.. But-- If you must know, this city is an entire city of monsters." Dean pauses, "Apparently, they're what keeps this city round, but we ain't too sure about that. Monsters are monsters, and we're trying to get them all. But it's just being slow, right now. We're a couple states away too, so by the time we finish, it'll be longer to get home. Especially with the holidays coming up. Just, you two kids have fun, okay?"
"Holidays..?" You pause too, looking at Kevin who had a sad look on his face, "Will you guys be here for the holidays?"
There's no talking on the other side, just the sounds of cars passing by and static.
"I see." You nod your head slowly, "I'll talk to you later, good luck." You hang up. Yeah, that was pretty rude of you, but, you had a pretty good reason, didn't you? Christmas was one of the biggest holidays of the year, next to Halloween. Christmas without your loved ones is really depressing, honestly.
Kevin patted your back and smiled, "Hey, wanna go out for ice cream? Ice cream always helps in situations like this."
You looked up and smiled back, "That sounds nice."
"And afterwards we can do whatever you'd like. You name it, we'll do it. Just to get your mind out of the worry-zone. I'll get ice cream, you get ice cream, it'll be a win-win. We're both stressing out over something, let's enjoy the free time we have while we still have it." He assured you.
You nodded, "Alright. That sounds really nice."
You wore the jacket Castiel had given you on the day you first met him, and left the bunker with Kevin.

You arrive at Baskin Robbins, "Could I get a (Ice cream flavor), please? In a cup!" You tell Kevin, going to the counter by the door, that had tall, pink stools. You climb up and sit down on a stool, kicking your feet back and forth. You look out the window and stare at the cars and people passing by.
Bzzp!
You pull your phone out of your pocket,
Unknown: Hey, (Y/N).
Just in time, Kevin sits beside you, "Texting Castiel?" He asks, looking at your phone.
"No, just a random guy, I guess. Do you happen to know this number?" You ask, showing him full view of the phone number.
"Oh, yeah. I'm pretty sure that's Sam."
You nod, "Oh, okay." You take a scoop out of Kevin's ice cream and text him back.
Hii, Sam ^.^ -(Y/I)
An immediate reply vibrates your phone.
What happened between you and Cas? He's really concerned. He's been pacing the hotel room, back and forth ever since Dean told you and Kevin to hang out. -SW
Kevin looks at you, wanting to see your reaction towards that.
I don't know. Ask him or Dean, you two know him better, don't you? -(Y/I)
There's no reply and you place your phone down, and start eating your ice cream.
"You know... Being upset isn't going to help," Kevin says with his mouth full, "I get why you're sad or mad about this situation, but try to let it go, okay?"
(A/N) Can't hold it back, anymoooooore..
You nod and smile, "Thanks for helping me with this."
"Yeah, no problem. It's the best I can do since our first meeting was.. kind of off track." He chuckled nervously, "I honestly thought that Castiel would hurt me or something."
"He doesn't really seem like that type of guy."
"Oh, you'd be surprised. Anyway, sorry, let's get off that topic, yeah?" He stands up, throwing away his finished cup of ice cream, "Let's go have some fun."
You throw your cup of ice cream away too, walking up next to him.
"What do you want to do?" He asks.
"Want to rent a movie from Redbox?" You ask.
"Sure, let's go. Feel free to pick any movie you'd like." He says, following behind you.
(A/N) HEY, okay, so. Yes, more Kevin. I'm sorry for those who don't really enjoy him :c But, I kind of don't know where to go with /this/ chapter. But, worry not. I have plenty of time /and/ plenty of idea's for next weeks chapter! Hopefully, it'll make up for this poor one-- Anyway! Stay tuned for the next chapter!
