Chapter 1
"We are what ??" I scream at my parents who, as always, show emotion.
"Terra, calm down. We have talked about this before." my father said trying to mask the fury in his voice.
"Yes I know, but you're taking me away from my friends and my senior year." I look at my boots knowing I'm not going to win this battle.
"We know you will sweetheart, but it will be a new school, a new home, and a fresh start. You will have plenty of space to ride and you can join the rodeo there." my mother said giving me a sad smile.
"We already bought the ranch; it's over 3,000 acres. We already have ranch hands and cattle set up in the pastures. Its all ready for us to move in Friday." Dad said, then left the room.
"But Friday is in two days !!"
"I know sweetie. So you better get packed, and tomorrow is your last day of school." Mom says coming over and giving me a hug "Everything will be fine Terra I promise."
Hugging her back, "It's like you want to forget Tucker." She pulls back and I can see that hurt her from the tears coating her brown eyes.
"Just get packed Terra." she slams the down behind her, I can't help but let a tear fall as I think of that day we lost him.
