Turning off the engine of his car, Chad sat in the driver's seat for another minute, thinking. They agreed, he was allowed to do this and he shouldn't hesitate. Reaching for gorgeous long stem roses on the back seat, he opened the door and got out, locking the car. He walked through the metal gates, somewhat glad that not too many people were around. A few minutes later he stopped, breathing a heavy sigh, as he stepped closer and placed the flowers on his deceased wife's grave. He sat down at a small bench, reading her name, then looking at the engraved portrait of her.
"It's been a while... I'm sorry I haven't been coming as frequently. I don't know how it goes after... when we pass away, so I can't be sure if you know it or not, but... well, I'm with someone. Just... we've been so occupied together I completely forgot about you. Not you, I often think about you." He paused, contemplating the next thing he wanted to say, as if his wife was still alive. "She's special and I love her. I do... We're getting married tomorrow." He put his elbows on his knees, leaning forward a little. "We made a deal, actually I suggested it, for the both of us to do something that we've been wanting to do and we still can, while we're not officially married. Probably, anyone who would know about this, would think I'm crazy, maybe I am, but... but this is the only way that I feel is right for me to be here and tell you, honestly, that I love you and I always will. It doesn't matter just how wonderful she is, it's always been you, you are my first love and it never will change. Of course, my insane idea gives her way to do whatever she wants too and I'm almost sure how she's going to use this chance, or more like, with whom... I can't say it doesn't hurt me, but I also know her and I know she needs to end things with him once and for all. If it means they'll... I won't be mad at her, I can't be, because I let her. I just hope, once she's wearing my ring, she will be free from someone else and she will be mine, just like I'm here to be... free from you. It doesn't mean I won't be coming here again, just... well, you know I've never been good with words. I can't be sure if any of what I said makes sense, but it's how I feel." Sitting in silence for another minute, he then stood up. "I love you. Goodbye..."

It was just after 1 pm and Stevie was ready to go, now waiting for Lindsey. He was surprised to get a call from her so soon after the tour, usually it would take them a month or two to get back in contact with each others. Nevertheless, when she said she wanted to see him, he asked when and where, which was at Stevie's condo; she didn't want Chad and Lindsey to run into each other, it always made things awkward.
A knock echoed through her luxurious apartment and Stevie took deep breaths, before going to answer the door. "Hey you."
"Hey." Stevie smiled, letting him come inside.
"I wasn't expecting a call from you."
"I somehow believe that." She laughed lightly, slightly nervous. "I hope I'm not keeping you from anything important."
"No, of course not. I wouldn't be here otherwise." Lindsey said, taking a seat in the living area. "So, what's up?"
"Care to spend today with me?"
"That's an odd request."
She sat next to him, explaining. "Chad and I, we're getting married tomorrow."
"Huh?" He frowned. "I don't even get an invite?" He asked, half joking.
"Nobody does, it will be just the two of us."
"Are you okay, Stevie? Do you have a fever or something?"
Rolling her eyes, she sighed and shook her head. "No, and it's not the part you have to concentrate on. Instead of us having those awful and tacky parties, Chad wanted us to do something, that we most certainly wouldn't be able to when we're married. I don't know what he's up to and he doesn't know that I'm with you here right now either."
