Chapter 4:
"Okay class, at the Boston Massacre....." Mr. Dolan was saying, but I dozed off.
It's been 2 days since I told Josh about the baby. I've been trying to talk to him, but he keeps avoiding me and he's not answering his phone when I call him, or the texts I sent him. Ugh! Why did this have to happen! Why did I have to get pregnant! I was so stupid! We were so stupid!
While I was ranting in my head I heard the teacher call me name.
"Cindy? Did you hear what the question was?" Mr. Dolan asked me.
"Huh...oh uh...no I didn't, sorry" I said looking down at my desk
"Cindy, you have to pay attention in class, you can't keep dozing off into space! You have to concentrate if you want to keep your grades up." Mr. Dolan said to me angrily.
"I know Mr. Dolan I'm sorry, I'll start playing more attention." I said looking up at him.
"Good" Mr. Dolan said.
Finally the bell rang and I walked out as fast as I can.
"Cindy! Hey Cindy wait up!" I heard Mandy yell.
"Yes?" I asked.
"What happened in there? You usually pay attention unless something is up." Mandy said.
She still doesn't know about my break up with Josh, no one does.
"Um... It's nothing" I said.
Mandy sighed then said, "Cindy come on, just tell me."
I thought for a little then said, "okay fine I'll tell you tomorrow after school. We can meet up at the park ok?"
"Okay" Mandy said
The bell rang indicating that out next class was about to start.
"See you at lunch?" I asked.
"Yeah" Mandy said.
We both then headed off to our next classes. After our first few classes, it was now lunch time. Everyone is keep looking at me weirdly, I was just ignoring it thinking it was something I wore. At lunch Mandy and I both were eating our lunch until someone interrupted us.
"Hey!" Lora, The Diva of the school, said.
"Uh, Hi?" I said more like a question. We never really talk so this was... I don't now... Weird.
"So, are you gonna keep it?" She asked with a smirk on her face.
Oh no! Was she taking about the baby?
"Huh?" I asked not completely sure what she was taking about.
"Oh come on Cindy, don't act all innocent. Everyone knows that your pregnant you little slut!" She said fiercely. Now everyone in the lunch room was staring at us.
My heart dropped when she said that! She knows! The hole school knows! What am I gonna do? Who even told everyone the only person that knows is..... Josh. Oh my gosh, I'm gonna kill him! Why did he have to tell! Why!?
"Um, I don't know what your talking about Lora." I said pretending I have no clue what she's talking about, but she didn't buy it.
"Sure you don't" she said.
"I-I don't" I said nervously.
"Oh, you don't? So you won't mind me doing this." She said as she moved to punch my stomach.
Before she could do anything though, I jumped out of my chair and moved back.
"Ha! So you are pregnant! Your such a slut! She yelled out. After that she left and I just stood their stunned. All eyes were still on me.
"Cindy?" Mandy said. Darn it, she didn't know until now. I sat back down and I was quite. "Cindy!" She said more stern! I just looked up at her. "Is - is it true? That your.... Pregnant?" She said getting quite so no one would here. I just nodded, trying not to cry.
"Oh my gosh, Cindy!" She said and then gave me a hug, which I gladly accepted. "Does Josh know?" She asked while releasing me. "H-he knows. I-I told him 2 days ago when we were c-coming back from dinner in the c-car and he l-left me to walk h-home in the r-rain. I think he's the one who told everyone." I said to Mandy, stuttering. "Oh my gosh, this is terrible! I'm so sorry that this happened! I got your back! I promise!" She said to me."Thanks Mandy!" I said giving her another hug.
Just then the next bell rang, and we went to go get our stuff from our lockers for our last classes of the day.
