When Should I Tell?

Chapter 2:

"Beep, Beep, Beep" My alarm went off. "Ughhh" I groaned. I looked at the time on the night stand 6:30 am it read. It's Monday and you know what that means... School. I got out of bed and went to go pick something out to wear. I eventually chose a pair of jeans and a shirt that has some flower designs on it. All of a sudden I felt a sudden sickness wash over me, I ran to the bathroom and threw up into the toilet. "Morning sickness" I muttered quietly to my self. I got up off the floor and began to wash my teeth and my face. I went back into my room and put on the clothes I had picked out, also pairing the outfit with my black converse. I went to the mirror, brushed out my hair, and then put it into a pony tail. Then I just put on my regular light makeup. When I was finished with all of that, I went and made sure I had everything in my school bag. Once I was sure I had everything I grabbed my bag and my phone off the nightstand and made my way down the stairs. My dad and sister were usually still asleep at this time but my mom was awake since she goes to work after she drops me off at school. "Morning" I said to my mom as I made my way down into the kitchen. "Morning sweetie" my mom said. I went and made my self some cereal and my mom gave me a glass of orange juice. "Thanks" I said and gave her a small smile. She just smiled back. After I was done with breakfast, my mom and I headed out the door to her car. The car ride was silent and by the time I made it to school it was 7:40 am. "Bye mom, I'll see you after school." I said to my mom before getting out of the car. "Bye, love you." My mom said to me. "Love you to mom" and with that she was off.

I made my way into the hallways of Johnson High School in search of my best friend Mandy. Mandy was one of those goody to shoes kinda girl. Her parents always try to keep her out of trouble whenever they can and make sure she has great grades. My grades are pretty good to be honest I have all A's and only 1 B. Once I spotted Mandy at her locked, I walked over to her.

"Hey Mandy!" I said as I approached her. "Hey Cindy, how was your weekend?" Mandy asked me. "Ummm, it was alright." I said. "Other than I just found out I'm pregnant at 17" I thought to my self. "When should I tell her? Do I even tell her? Yes I have to she's my best friend. She needs to know, but when?" I was lost in my thoughts when Mandy brought me back to reality. "Hello! Earth to Cindy!" Mandy said, waving a hand towards my face. "Uh, yeah. Sorry what were you saying? I questioned. Mandy took in a deep breath "I was asking you if you wanted to go meet at Dunkin Doughnuts or some place after school." Mandy said once again. "Uh yeah sure, what time?" I asked. "Hmm, how about 3:30?" "Sure! Sounds great!" I said. Before we could say anything more, the bell rang indicting that our first class was about to start.

Nothing really happened at our first few classes, but now it was lunch time. I was glad because I am starving! Mandy and I went into the lunchroom. We both got two slices of pepperoni pizza and a bottle of water. We went to our usual lunch table and sat down. We started eating our lunch and we talked.
We were half way through lunch when I heard someone calling my name.

"Cindy" The person called out. I turned around. Oh no, it was Josh. He made his way to our table and then have me a quick kiss. "Hey babe" Josh said smiling. "H-Hey" I smiled nervously. "Should I tell him now?" No to many people around. I'll tell him after school." I thought in my head. "I was thinking if you wanted to go out to dinner tomorrow?" Josh said to me. "Yeah, S-Sure that'll be great"  I stuttered nervously. "Great! Does 6 work for you?" Josh asked "Yeah, 6 is fine" I said. "Okay! See you then" Josh said, then gave me another kiss. "See ya" I said as he left.

I turned my head to see a huge smile plastered on Mandy's face. "What...." I asked slowly. "Your going on a date!!!!!" Mandy practically screamed out. "Mandsss! Shhhhhh, the hole school doesn't need to know." I said back to Mandy. The worst thing about this school is that it's gossip central. "Sorry, but it's exiting, I mean you guys have been dating for 3 months now, right?. Mandy said smiling once again. "Yea I guess so" I said forcing a smile onto my face. I've decided that I'm going to tell him tomorrow after dinner.

The bell rang and I left my last class for the day. I went to my locker and picked up the books I needed and dropped of the ones I didn't need. After that I went outside and waited for my mom to arrive. Once I saw the black Honda pull up I opened the door and got in.

"Hey Cindy, how was your day? My mom asked. "Good. Mandy wanted us to meet up at Dunkin Doughnuts at around 3:30 and Josh wants to take me out to dinner at 6 tomorrow." I said looking at my mom. "that's great sweetie, sounds like fun" my mom said. "Yup" I said. The rest of the car ride was filled with small talk until we arrived home.

Once I got inside I went to my room and finished my homework so I won't have to do it later. Then after that I headed out to go meet with Mandy. The rest of the day we just hung out and talked and I actually managed to get my mind off..... The baby. Tomorrow I need to tell Josh, I don't want to but he's the father and he needs to know.
