Chapter 8:
Previously:
"Your pregnant!" My mom exclaimed holding up the pregnancy stick that said positive.
----------------------------------------------I gasped! "W-where d-did you get
th-that?" I stuttered as my heart starting beating so fast. "While you were away I decided to clean ur room up a bit and I found it in your old boot!" My mom said angrily. "That isn't important right now!" My dad exclaimed. "How in the heck did you get pregnant?" My dad yelled. I stayed quite trying not to cry. "Well?" My mom yelled expecting an answer. I couldn't hold my tears in any longer and I started to cry. "I-I don't know" I cried. "What do you mean you don't know?!" My dad yelled. "It-it was a mistake. I-I didn't mean for this to ha-happen." I chocked out, crying even harder than before."Is it Josh's?" My mom asked a little more calmly, but anger still evident in her voice. "Yes" I said in a whisper. "Well what is he gonna do about it?" My dad yelled. "Nothing" I sobbed. "What do you mean nothing? Did you even tell him?" My mom screamed. "Of course I did!" I yelled back. "He left me" I said trying to wipe away my tears, but it was no use, they just kept coming down. "Oh my gosh" my dad said . "Cindy are you even sure your pregnant? Did you go see a doctor?" My mom asked. "No, but I'm pretty sure me throwing up is enough conformation to me." I said, trying to relax a bit. "Oh my gosh, how didn't I notice! You have been throwing up a lot lately and you have been acting weird! I should have suspected something was up!" My mom said. "Cindy you should have told us earlier!" my dad said. "I know I'm sorry, I just I didn't know how. I was so scared." I said. "You know what I have a headache. Tomorrow is your doctors appointment and we will just have you get checked up then." My mom said. "Okay." I said.
It was silent for a moment. The awkward tension finally broke when my sister walked into the house. "Woah, ok what's going on?" Jessica asked when we walked into the room. No one said a word. "Wait a minute! Cindy did you tell them?!" My sister asked. "Well more like they found out..." I said trailing off. "Hold on. Jessica you knew about this?" My dad asked looking disappointed. "Yeah, I found out a few days ago." My sister said. "Why did you tell us?" My mom asked looking up at my sister. "I promised Cindy I wouldn't. I'm sorry" Jessica said. My mom sighed. "Ok whatever we obviously have bigger things to deal with here." My mom said, gesturing to me. "Okay well, I um I am going to go up to my room." I said. My parents just nodded and my sister followed me.
I reached my room and my sister came in to talk with me. "Wow." Was all my sister said as she sat next to me on my bed. "Yup, wow's right." I said. "Well do you know what you want do now that mom and dad know?" Jessica asked. "I don't know really what I'm gonna do Jessica." I said. "It's ok whatever happens I'll always be by your side." Jessica said. "Thanks" I said as I mustered a smile.
35 minutes later
"Dinners ready" My mom said from down stairs. This was going to be one awkward dinner. My parents know I'm pregnant now so I don't really know what to expect. I went and sat down at the table. My sister soon came down and we all started to eat. My mom finally broke the silent tension. "How far along are you?" My mom asked. "What?" I asked looking up from my food. "How far along pregnant are you?" My mom asked again. Pregnant. That word still sounded weird. "I um. I don't know. Maybe like 3 weeks or something. I'm not sure." I said. "Oh. Well that's ok. We will find out tomorrow I guess." My mom said. I nodded. It was silent for a moment. "Hey mom?" I said out of nowhere. "Mhm?" My mom hummed. "Is it ok if I don't go to school tomorrow?" I asked hopefully. My mom just looked at me like I'm nuts. "I mean with everything that's happening and everyone at school and stuff I'm not really feeling like going." I said. It was silent again. "Wait, do people at school know." My dad asked. "Yeah they do." I said. "Did you tell them?" My mom asked. "What no. Josh told everyone..." I said looking at my sister. She already knows what happened. "Please. I just really need a day kinda relax from a all this drama." I said. My mom sighed. "Fine, but only because tomorrow is your doctors appointment." My mom said. "Thanks mom" I said.
After dinner I went into my room and texted Mandy. No reply. I sighed, I wish she would at least answer my texts. I'm so glad I don't have to go to school tomorrow. I really don't feel like seeing Lora or anyone else at school for that matter. I looked at my clocked on my night stand. It read 11:00 pm. I should probably start getting ready for bed. I got up and changed into my pajamas. I brushed my teeth and then turned my light off. After that I headed toward my bed and went to get some sleep.
