Luna's POV
It's been an 3 hours since she left, how long is she going to take. I sat on the couch while scrolling at my phone. I can't believe I'm going to a party. You don't know who will be there. There can be stalkers, molesters, rapists, you never know. I don't think I'll be drinking because I gotta take care of my hell of a best friend. The door opened."Heyyy!" Jasmine walks in the complex, with hand full of shopping bags. Oh god.
"Sup. Whatchu got there Jas?" I asked.
"Our clothes." She smiled brightly.
"Can I see?" I said. She looked at me.
"No. It's a surprise. You'll see it tonight." She left to her room, I'm guessing she's putting the clothes away. To be honest, I was quite scared. I wonder what time the party starts.
"Hey Jas!" I yelled across the room.
"What!" She answered back.
"What time is the party?" I yelled. I heard footsteps meaning she's coming back.
"Uhm. 7. So we have to get ready at 6." She said. I nodded and looked at my phone for the time.
"2:30pm" it read. I groaned.
"What now?" Jasmine asked.
"Do I really have to go?" I whined slowly fall down to the ground.
"Yes. I already have your outfit so it's too late." She sternly said. Geez I swear she's like my mother.
"I am not like your mother Luna Faith." She said. I laughed.
"You heard me?" I asked. She nodded.
I got up, picked my phone up and a blanket. "Since I'm going, I need make up. Yesterday I bought the wrong foundation, and I need to pick up something for Luke at the cd shop. I'll be back in a bit." I walked to the door, put my shoes on, and grabbed my keys. I said bye to Jasmine and left to the mall.
. . .
I finally parked and went into the mall. I decided to go into Sephora first because I know for a fact that if I don't have a time limit in that store, I will not leave. I looked around and of course, the store was packed with teenage girls, couples, families. I didn't want to struggle with the lines so I got the right foundation that fit my skin color, looked around a little (maybe picked up some things) then got in line to pay. Once I was the next one in line, I put the makeup on the counter.
The lady started scanning my things and asked the basic questions like "Did you find everything you were looking for?" or "Did anyone help you with your shopping today?" Every time they ask that question I never really give them an answer but mhm. I am not the type of socialize with the workers unless I am basically forced to. The young lady started tapping on the screen and looked up at me with a smile.
"That will be $45.25." I looked at her so unamused by the overall cost but I know it is not her fault.
I huffed, slid my card and typed in the pin. Once I pressed the green button, the receipt started coming out and she pulled it apart and handed it to me.
"Thank you for coming in today! Have a great day." She grinned at me and I gave her a fake smile and rushed my way out of there.
Why does makeup have to be so expensive. I thought to myself. I sighed and made my way to the CD shop. I always love going to the CD shop. They basically had every CD, vinyl, anything you need involving music, they got it. I walked in and went straight to the Nickelback CDs. I know Luke likes Nickelback but I'm worried he already has his CDs.
"Maybe I should get him a vinyl." I whispered to myself. I flipped through the Nickelback vinyls and picked two up. I smiled to myself and walked to the front of the store. The worker was bent down putting something away and as I went to get my wallet, the worker got up.
"Hi, I'm just going to buy these and.." I paused and looked at the guitar picks. One of them had All Time Low. I grabbed it and put it next to the vinyls, "This too." The guy scoffed and when I looked up. It was that guy that I accidentally bumped into and spilled coffee on.
"Uhm.." I looked down to my feet and he kept looking up at me as he scanned my things.
"Nickelback aye?" He said with a deep voice. I nodded. He scoffed and packed the vinyls in a bag.
"Do you have a problem or something?" I looked at him with attitude. He looked at me with his dark brown eyes and smirked.
He started leaning in close and whispered,"You are my problem."
I leaned back and rolled my eyes. "How could I be your problem. You don't even know me."
"You just annoy me. Spilt coffee on me, made me late to work. Annoying." He explained.
"You act like I meant to do any of that. Again! I don't know who you are." I sassed back. I didn't have time for this so I grabbed the vinyls and pick.
"Hi, my name is Calum. Calum Hood. Nice to meet you kitten." He winked.
My hands started becoming sweaty, "Wh-whatever. You were being the dickhead when I tried to help clean your shirt. Anyways, I need to go. Nice meeting you Hood." I grabbed the receipt from his hand started to walk away. Before I left the store, he grabbed my wrist.
"What?!" I exclaimed.
"Nice meeting you too kitten." He chuckled then winked. I rolled my eyes once again and then left the store.
"Douchebag." I mumbled to myself. I mean what kind of asshole he was. I would never want to date someone like him. I mean who would? Calum Hood; I am so glad I won't see that guy again.
