HMHE I
Gab's POV
"Give me a minute. Nilda!" I called my assistant. "Were you able to finish the reports for the Samaniego's?"
"Y-Yes Ma'am."
"Good. Print them out then bring them to the meeting later."
"O-Okay po Ma'am."
I'm not usually this nervous but we have a big investor to meet.
Well, can't be helped. And that includes me.
"Ano pang tinatayo-tayo mo diyan? Move? Get going. We only have an hour before the meeting." He's still the owner. It will only be handed down to me once na ma-prove ko raw na deserving na ako talaga for the position. And the second one is, if some unfortunate events happen. Knock on wood, if he dies. Well, it'll be better not to have the company, kesa naman sa mawala ang Papa ko. So here I am, working my ass out just to show everyone, including the board members that I, Gabriella Marie Sy-Tan, can do the job better than anyone else.
"Forget it." I shut her up with my right hand. Malilintikan talaga sa akin ang dalawang 'yun. I tried calling my dear traitor bestfriend but to no avail. Humanda talaga sila sa akin. What the heck? "That bastard's gonna be dead before sunrise."It's been 1 year and 6 months to be exact since the incident with Alex. Why am I even minding other people's business? I have an important meeting to attend to. I can't let any distraction get in the way. 45 minutes passed by in an instant. And to my surprise, walang katao-tao. Seriously? What's happening today? The last time I checked, hindi naman Friday the 13th ngayon.
"Where's everybody?" Galit kong hinampas ang podium. I saw Nilda talking to somebody on the phone and she looks like she just saw a ghost when she hang up. I gave her a questioning look and arched an eyebrow.
"Uhm, Ma'am--"
"I know for sure we are not in the wrong room, and that today is the 2nd of June. What am I missing, Nilda?" I'm starting to get piss off. And this secretary of mine knows she won't like me when I'm like this."Ma'am kakatawag lang po ng Samaniego's Corporation."
I inhaled a deep breath and shut my eyes while anticipating her next word."Because?"
This is going to be my first ever big deal to show to the Board what my capabilities are, pero mukhang failure na naman. This is the third time na ginawa nila ito. I even told the board that by the end of the week, we'll be partners with that company.
